Dinosaur Encyclopedia: From Dinosaurs to the Dawn of Man

Lost this book long ago, it was given me to be by someone very special and at the time ment everything to a little kid who absolutely loved dinosaurs and the other knowledgeable tidbits that came with it. A little dusty and slightly worn, couple a pages torn but easily fixable, wasn't looking for brand new or excellent condition. Now and my kids can just simply enjoy.

It's a big book with pretty pictures but it's not a comprehensive guide to all things dinosaur so much as it's a good summation. It handles a lot more of the post dino era than what we were hoping for as well as a lot of relation to when they turned in to what mammals and all that. It's an okay edition if you're looking for a compendium of how all things relate but it's more a "Prehistoric Encyclopedia" than a "Dinosaur Encyclopedia".

Excellent book, fantastic pictures (DK always have fantastic science books). Perfect for homeschooling, being a few years old it is so cheap to buy. Dinosaur info still good (can't change that much, it's dinosaurs!)

I originally bought this book for my grand children who love dinosaurs,and ended up keeping it.This book is not just about dinosaurs but it is about the evolution of life from the beginning.As usual Dorling Kindersley produced an excellent book superbly illustrated.I highly recommend it for people of any age.It is now part of my library.

I ordered this book for my grandson and he loved it. He was always renewing the book from the library and lately was having problems getting it. He carries it with him all the time.

Very good book that covers really all aspects of past life of dinosaurs, and good information that is very useful in learning about our past, a good book, buy it!!
