Dowdle Jigsaw Puzzle - Best of Texas - 500 Piece

The puzzle pieces were sturdy and easy to put in place. The colors were great and the detail was very good. The re-closable collectors box with sleeve is awesome! It even has a resealable bag to put the puzzle pieces in when it is stored. It also is educational in the sense you can test your knowledge as to were the towns and cities are located especially the smaller less known places. A lot of space was dedicated to the two biggest Texas universities, which is okay, but I would have enjoyed it more if that space was downsized, the map enlarged and add landmarks/icons inside the map like: NASA, the World Capital of Live Music, The Astrodome, Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, The San Jacinto Monument, The Texas Independence Trail, 3 Presidential Libraries, Enchanted Rock, Houston's Medical Center and Houston's Museum District, Texas fishing AND George Strait, Willie Nelson and ZZ Top!!!! I could go on, but you get the picture. Maybe Mr. Dowdle could do a second edition of the Best of Texas and capture the aforementioned landmarks and icons. Sign me up for an additional Texas Best puzzle!

This Dowdle puzzle," Best of Texas," is of the highest quality of all the puzzles I have done since the quarantine started! I have done 6 puzzles, and this outshines them all. This puzzle, made in the USA, comes with a pull off wrapper, no need to cut the box open with a knife. The pieces are inside a keepsake box with a velcro closure. An extra resealable plastic bag is provided. The pieces are thicker, snap together very well, and there is very little puzzle dust. The colors are bright, and beautiful. I ordered one directly from the Dowdle website, and it came in less than a week. I ordered another through Amazon, and it came the next day!!! So much better than other puzzles I have ordered from other companies, on facebook, more than a month ago, that haven't come yet!

I love Dowdke puzzles. High quality. Great subjects. My only complaint is the picture that comes inside the box is way too small. It is about 8 x 10 - maybe smaller. Hard to see the details when you are searching fir a certain piece. We only work the large puzzles. 1000-2000 pieces. Other brands include a photo that is almost half the size of a 1000 piece. Buffalo is the best for that. But Dowdke has the best subjects.

The puzzle is a challenge but it was fun to work on.

This jigsaw puzzle is thick enough and the picture is very clear. No guessing involved. Challenging for beginners and those experienced.It is a good depiction of Texas.

Just finished the 500 piece HISTORY OF CARS and loved it. Now starting BEST OF TEXAS 500 piece and these pieces are larger, which is wonderful for us older folks. It's a family tradition to do jigsaw puzzles at the holidays, and these are the best we've had in years. Thank you D O W D L E. Keep up the great work!
