Good Product
I purchased this item to help me with my balsa wood airplane project. It has been very helpful for sanding the wing ends which consist of several pieces of wood spaced apart. The large flat surface has helped me to sand everything even. The only down side is the coarse side is too coarse. I can only use one side. It would be nice to replace this side with a fine grit side. Otherwise, is a good product. Recommend to the hobby person.Edit: On further review I had to give this product five stars. I have found some uses for the very coarse side...and it's true and square.

Love it!
This got the job done for sanding edges down on some 1.5mm carbon fiber sheeting. A well invested sanding block.

Works great
Sanding reclaimed heart pine stair trees which tend to quickly clog typical sandpaper.

Great product
Excellent product. Have been using it for awhile now and it works great. When it fills up with dust you just brush it off and it is like new again.

Works scary good on wood.
I used the Perma Grit blocks to shape a solid model airplane wing with balsa, plywood, spruce and maple components. It worked perfectly, matching up the different wood types without digging into the balsa. Wish I had found these thirty years ago. I plan to purchase more.

10 Years and Going Strong
I have used my 3 Permagrit tools for over 10 years, still good as new. People that recommended them to me advised me to get glue out of them by carefully waving a torch over the clogged areas. I avoid using it over glue and they stay sharp forever. ...and I did use it over light T88 epoxy and it didn’t clog. I’m not a pro but building an antique airplane and a teardrop trailer and have built dozens of smaller projects that this tool came in handy for. One of the best investments I ever made. I’m going to get more in different shapes.
