Perfect fir for my 1998 BMW 740il (E38)
This is the one of the OEM brands. It is not surprising that it is a high quality filter and a perfect fit for my 1998 BMW E38

e53 4.4i COLLAPSED FILTER AT 12K MILES
ok so this x5 4.4i WAS my daily driver. never really cared for it or washed it. it was fed M1 0W40 or Castrol 0w40 every 10K miles. it ate ignition coils and O2 sensors like popcorn but I still miss it. I ran it until 12K and found the Hengst filter completely pulped and in a muddy heap in the filter housing. I was very disappointed but decided to change every 8K after. no incidents occurred after. aren't these supposed to last 15K as per BMW's schedule?

A complete oil change kit sans oil.
I think these are oem filters. They come with an o-ring and a copper drain plug seal. I have been through about 15 of these and never a problem.
