Just got it, but so far so good.
I looked at a lot of different wireless thermometers before I purchased this one. I've had it for a couple of days and I've used it on the grill and in the over so far.The battery life is phenomenal. I've had it on for about 6 hours total and it's still showing 100% battery life. The app is pretty user-friendly (I haven't delved into it beyond just seeing the temperatures). It was fairly easy to pair with my phone as well. In addition to using it for meat temperatures, I also used it to measure the ambient temperature for both the grill and the oven and was pleased with how that worked out.The range is excellent as well. My grill is in the backyard and I walked inside and upstairs to the far side of the house. Basically, I got as far away from the grill as I possibly could and still be in the house and I never lost signal.I will note one thing (that should probably be expected) the probes don't stay silver once they've been in the grill or the oven for any length of time. They darken and I'm not sure how dark they will eventually be. It's not an issue for me because I'm not planning on displaying them but it may be for others. I don't know if it can be scrubbed off, to be honest, because I didn't scrub them that hard.I don't know what the durability will be and I will come back and update my review if I see a significant change in how the thermometer works.

Slow to react to changes in temperature
The app and bluetooth functionality are great but the probes are very slow to react to temperature changes. As a test, I put the probe in the freezer and it took almost 5 minutes for it to register 32 degrees, which is its lowest temp. reading. The next day I used it in my electric smoker that had already been running for about 30 minutes and again it took a long time to get up to temperature. Is this common with these probes or did I get a bad pair? Smoking is a long process so this isn't a "real" issue and the probes do seem to be accurate when they finally do get up to temp., but it would be nice if they reacted to temp. changes quicker.

great for BBQ/smokin
I use this every time I smoke a turkey breast section (about one a weekend). I'll also be using it when I smoke whole turkey for the holidays coming up. Using the preset done temperature means it's done right (and not over). It also means I don't need to open my BGE to see what is going on with what's in it. At most, I check the dome thermometer to see what that reading is and adjust vents if needed.I use this instead of the plastic popper in each breast section (or whole turkey). If I wait for the popper to pop, the turkey is over done.Trust temps not mechanical indicators. Plus, if you're looking, it ain't cooking.

Works fantastic
Just got this last week and I've already used it several times. I attached some photos from an indoor cook. I've also tried it twice on my grill. Because the probes are steel they have no problem staying in the oven or grill. I really like the app integration. Basically you turn the unit on and start the app on your phone. From the app you can view the temp and set the target temp. The unit came with two probes but supports up to six. What really surprised me is that the bluetooth support seems to exceed the standard. Usually bluetooth is only good for 33 ft but mine was working 45 feet away. Maybe even further but I never tried more. Getting going was very easy: 1) download app, 2)pop in batteries, 3) hold down the only button till it comes on, 4) run the app and pair it. I had it working in about 5 minutes from opening the box. I had an older maverick that was some kind of RF thing but it did not work as far as this bluetooth and routinely disconnected. This one seems to have a very reliable connection. Nice!

Experimentation required
I question the accuracy of this device for two reasons. First, when the two probes that come with it are in the open air there is a 2-degree difference between the temperatures reported on the display. That's not an insignificant difference when one is trying to grill a steak to perfection. Second, when a steak reaches a temperature reading of 120F, which is supposed to be rare, it is close to medium. Similarly, a temperature reading of 140F, which is supposed to be medium, results in a well-done steak. The moral of the story is that one can use this gadget to grill a steak to the desired degree of doneness, but only after experimenting to find the temperature reading that produces the right result. In my case, it's 117F for a medium-rare-to-medium steak and 124F for a medium steak, using ports 1 and 4, respectively.

Very user friendly!
Sadly, I wasn't able to experiment with this on a grill but I did love using it to cook my dinner on the stove! It was SUPER easy to setup and use. My only complaint is that it did not come with batteries. It took me a while to get around to buying some, so it was useless until then. Anyway - setting it up, using it, and the app..super user friendly! You can program what kind of meat you are cooking and set an alarm when it is time to flip. When your meat gets to the correct temperature, it alarms! The manual tells you what temperature the probe and cable can get up to...basically, you could put them in an oven, grill, or stove and be fine.

Average value
I installed the app on my iPad. The iPad switches automatically from vertical to horizontal view depending on its position. The app does not shift and stays in vertical view. Changing the temperature on the presets was not straight forward but I did figure it out. The preset for pork is 145 degrees which is too low and does not meet FDA recommendations. The app continues to alarm even after I remove the probe and shut down the app. Very irritating. Bottom line everything works, it just could be programmed a lot better by the manufacturer.

Accurate, Affordable and Alarms
After reading reviews I went with this meat thermometer and glad I did. I just purchased a pellet grill and having these probes ensured I kept the grill heat at the right spot, while also ensuring the internal temp of the brisket was on point. The alarms you can add for each probe is a great addition to the device. I was able to nap and the alarms would wake me up to check the brisket and smoker. I’ll get more probes (this one comes with two but expandable to six) so I can smoke multiple pieces of meat at one time.
