Spigen Ultra Hybrid Designed for iPhone Xs MAX Case (2018) - Crystal Clear

This case is sturdy and cute! I used to work at AT&T so I’m very picky about the brands that I use on my phone for protection.. I mean you spend over $1,000 on a device, why go cheap with a case that’s going to cost you more money in the long run? So when I saw this brand, I knew it was a great brand, but seeing all the reviews, I was a little hesitant because most people just go for style in a case rather than protection. But I can tell you, it is a GREAT case and especially for the price! I have a 10 month old who reaches for my phone and drops it all the time and it has held up beyond my expectations! Love that you can also see the color of your phone, it’s sleek and thin, and also has raised edges for added screen protection (I still would recommend getting a screen protector though). It also still works with a wireless charger. Bottom line, it’s great protection for an unbeatable price!

I only buy Spigen products for my iPhone so I’m a little biased but there’s a reason - they stand the test of time. I wanted a slim case for my phone but wanted to add a slight pink touch to it and this case was perfect, even though the sides of my phone are gold so you can’t really see the pink in it. This will probably be more prominent in the silver phones. Also, my last plastic/rubber case discolored and when I spilled something on it, it wore away the case a bit. Also, my old case made the buttons difficult to push and even more difficult to turn the button to silent - not this case. The buttons work with ease This one looks as new as the day I bought it. It protects the phone but is extremely thin so it’s definitely not cumbersome.

I really like the Spigen Ultra Hybrid cases. They are durable without adding too much bulk to my phone. I like the see through design, which shows off the back of the phone. Not the most ultra protective case, but that's not what I wanted. Phone has been dropped and has not received any damage. Paired with a Supershieldz glass screen protector, the phone is very well protected. My only slight gripe is that the ridges on the corners, to keep the back of the case off of flat surfaces can be a little uncomfortable when holding the phone for a long time. Think gaming of watching videos. Overall, it's a nice case if it fits your needs.

This seems to be a pretty good case! The buttons are easy to press, which is a good thing because some cases come with hard buttons that are very rigid and hard to press. Not fun! The camera cutout provided more coverage than I had expected it to, so that was a pleasant surprise. The last Spigen case that I ordered for the 7 Plus didn’t have enough depth, so the camera bump was kind of exposed instead of being protected. As far as thickness, this case is thicker than the cases I prefer to use, so I am not sure how long I will stick with this one, especially if I find a thinner one. Overall, this is a good case for those who want decent protection but aren’t picky about maintaining slimness.Update: I dropped my phone (with this case on) from my lap as I was exiting a car, and this case literally saved my phone from being dinged up and/or shattered! Also, this case is very form fitting and hard to take off, which is a good thing. A lot of cases that I have used in the past have been really flimsy around the sides. But I definitely will keep this case on and sacrifice the “bulkiness” because it could be worse and be thick like an Otterbox, and that’s a no-no!

The case fits perfectly, and is easy to put on. I have not yet tried to remove it. The clear case highlights the natural beauty of my gold XS Max, although as others have noted, there is too much branding on the edges to be worthy of a 5-star rating. That’s really unfortunate. The material seems quite heavy duty, and should offer some drop protection, as well as better grip. Despite that, it adds very little thickness to the phone. I feel a lot more confident carrying around this expensive phone now. The buttons are solid and responsive - not mushy at all. I recommend this case.

Now that I'm sucked into buying a new iPhone every year, I find myself going back to Spigen for their cases because they aren't expensive but don't fall apart like some cheap cases I've had in the past did. I'm going on just under a year with this case and it's still in great shape. I'm pretty good about not throwing my phone around, but I've definitely had my fair share of drops. This case protects my phone great--haven't had any issues with my phone getting damaged. The case itself has held up pretty well too. No major nicks or scratches, which is hard to believe because I often keep my phone with my keys. I definitely recommend this case to anyone looking for a slim, effective, affordable phone case.

I have been purchasing Spigen Ultra-Hybrid cases for my iphones for years. The design is always the same.. A TPU bumper with a clear polycarbonate back. This case is thin and does not add much bulk to the XS max. However, it definitely protects the phone after a casual fall from your hands. Unless you are subjecting your phone to more rigorous falls or conditions, the Spigen Ultra Hybrid is the perfect case. The buttons and cutouts for the vibrate button, camera and lightning port are perfect. The left and right bottom speaker /microphone cutouts are not entirely perfect, as mentioned in other reviews. The botton left cutout is larger than necessary. However, this does not affect the functioning of the phone. Spigen sells amazing cases for a fraction of the price. I am a loyal fan and highly recommend. I was forced to buy a competitor's case for my iPhone XS max because the Spigen case was delayed a week... But once my Spigen Ultra Hybrid crystal clear case arrived, I returned the other case immediately. Also of note-- the crystal clear case is perfect to show off the gold colored phones. I highly recommend this case.
