A fascinating portrait of the world
I bought this book because I have an interest in photojournalism, but I think it would be equally interesting to anyone who likes current affairs. The book is broken up into sections with a dozen or so (mostly full page) photos in each section, followed by a key to the images in each section and a text explanation. Although this format allows for the photos to be reproduced without the clutter of the text next to them, it is a little frustrating as it inevitably means a fair amount of flicking backwards and forwards to look at the images and read the explanation that goes with them. The images are all stunning in different ways and reproduced on very high quality paper. It's a great "bitesize" book to keep by the bedside or in the loo to have a quick flick through. Now I have bought number 5, I am tempted to go back and the buy 1-4 too!
