Odd-looking tea, but great taste
This tea was recommended by my British colleague, who drinks it daily. I use loose tea in a ceramic teapot with a stainless steel filter basket. I probably don't follow best brewing practices according to the most staunch English tea drinkers, but I do believe my brewing setup is worlds better than teabags. My first observation is that this loose PG Tips looks unlike any loose-leaf tea I've ever seen. It's little "granules" with no resemblance to actual tea leaves. This surprised me. It must be highly processed. It almost resembles Lipton's instant iced tea, but of course it is much better quality and flavor than that. I was advised to only let it steep for about 2.5 minutes. I normally do ~7 minutes for my Scottish breakfast tea. It was probably good advice, but since I tend to load it up with cream and a bit of sugar, I could handle the extra tannins that result from steeping for about 4-5 minutes. Good cup of tea. Not entirely sure if I'm ready to give up my Scottish breakfast tea, but it's good to bring other stuff into the rotation to keep mornings interesting.

Tasty, but took 49 days to arrive
This is the best English Breakfast tea I've ever had. The price was fantastic (less than eight bucks per box). I ordered two boxes of PG Tips loose-leaf tea, and they arrived slightly crumpled/dented but still sealed, so no problems. The only downside was that my order took 49 days to arrive, a full three weeks after Amazon's expected arrival window had ended. Additionally, the seller, Tora Foods, didn't respond to either of my polite emails asking for an update. The "leaves" themselves look like tiny pellets rather than whole dry leaves. This translates to a much shorter steep time, only 30-45 seconds, to prevent a bitter flavor. Anyway, just know what you're in for: 1) Best tea ever, no contest 2) Fabulous price 3) Takes almost two months to arrive 4) Seller doesn't respond to questions If you're good with that, go ahead and order it, because it's the best.

Maybe not as good as it used to be
Maybe it's me, but the flavor seems flatter than I remember.

PG tips, an absolute MUST have!
I absolutely love PG Tips! OF the many black teas I've tried, this is my favorite. This shipment did not disappoint. I was very fortunate too since I was about to run out of my current stock and while I had other tea to hold me over till this shipment arrived, I was extremely pleased to have it arrive 2-3 weeks early! This tea is not bitter as some other teas are and since it is made from the "tips" (top 2 leaves and the end bud of the stem), you get the smoothest flavor with boldness. I have tried the PG Tips Pyramid bags and found them to be not at all the same as the loose leaf probably because the grind is finer than the loose leaf version. Twinings does the same for a more brisk flavor with its bagged version vs its loose leaf. I've tried Golden Moon EBT, but it was not flavorful enough and a bit harsh. Of course, it is a broad leaf tea. I've tried Typhoo now and then and that is good for a divergence. It has similar texture as a tea to PG Tips.

surprise
This tea never disappoints. However I was surprised at how small the box is for the price. Delivery was prompt.
