These straws were a hit at the tiki themed party we had for my cousin a few weeks ago. The fun bamboo design adds that special touch to your fancy tiki cocktail. People complimented the stylish look these straws gave their drinks and everyone liked them a lot. They are made of heavy duty, durable paper with some sort of waxy coating on them that prevent them from falling apart once they are placed in a liquid. They did start getting a bit mushy after a while and became too flexible to drink out of properly, but that was after being in the liquid for about an hour, so if you anticipate you or your guests being fairly quick drinkers, you won't have to worry about this. :-)

A local Inn uses birch paper straws like these and I have admired them as a more sophisticated option when entertaining. Received these the other day and used them for the first time with homemade margaritas in Mason jars. The drinks were strong so we were sipping slowly. These held up great. Even the end sitting for over an hour in liquid didn't get too soggy. It is paper, so there is some softening but the integrity of the draw held. My husband and I even reused our straws for our second round. I gave it four stars because I wish there were some gray marks in addition to the black in the design. They look great, but I was hoping for a little more detail in the art. Living in NH we love our birch trees.

I was very happy with the quality of these straws, however I was quite disappointed in the design. I shopped around for the least expensive option for these, which worked out well in some ways, but they don't look as birch-like as they do in the listing. I would probably go with another option in the future.

These straws are so cute for any themed party that involves farm animals, all cow or any idea themed that you can think of. They hold up for around 4 hours!!!

So nice to have paper straws on hand like when we were kids! Also bonus that they are compostable!! Love saying "No straw please!" and then having it in my hand ready to go! The drive thru window at McDonald's already knows when I get my unsweetened iced tea not to give me a straw. Now, if the lid could be a number 1 recyclable plastic as well...

Ordered these because I'd like to cut down on plastic in landfills. Have you ever noticed plastic straws are wrapped in paper? Well these paper straws are wrapped in plastic, LOL. The brown paper cardboard box they come in is a nice touch, so close.

They don’t get soggy quick and they look great on tiki/margarita nights!

The straws are good, wish they were longer so I could replace fountain drink straws with these.Also, these things fizz the heck out of carbonated drinks.
