A lovely book for my Aussie granddaughter , she loves it

My 9 year old actually has quite the collection of non-fiction cat books, and, though she is a little beyond this one in reading level, this is her absolute favourite! The copy we recently purchased on Amazon is actually our second copy... ironically, our first was destroyed by one of our three cats. The one and only time they ever damaged a book, go figure. Fantastic illustrations, many interesting facts and very cleanly written, my daughter and I highly recommend this title for any young cat lover.

アズボーン ビギナーズ シリーズの中の一冊。豊富な写真とイラストで、猫の誕生からその習性等をわかりやすくシンプルな英語で説明しており、巻末にはやや特殊と思われる用語についての説明がまとめられています。"ビギナーズ"とありますが、内容的には"大人向け"との印象を受けました。また、本書の編者はかなりの猫好きだと推察します。例えば、掲載されている写真についても、ごく自然な感じのどこにでもいるようなタイプの猫が選ばれていますし、写真以上にイラストが可愛らしい。人間が猫を「可愛い」と感じるであろう特徴をうまく描いていると思います。本書の内容を知っていれば、十分な"猫通"です。猫が嫌いでなければ、是非どうぞ！
