truth guised in fiction
I have read Daniel's other book of non-fiction about the Bilderberg cabal. It is matchless in giving great insight into what is behind the dark events of our world since its heinous inception decades ago. I have longed for another equally riveting work by him. This book almost outshines the first. It's fictional part, the main characters of the plot, but the facts he exposes are anything BUT fiction. As the growing, fear-inspiring financial abyss materializes, his book gives definition to the forces that are plotting the world's economic implosion and following chaos. The military aren't having riot control exercises across the nation for mere fun.I wonder just how close we all are to the edge of a disaster that will leave our nation in tatters and our people in destitution? This book is a reference tome for the actors and organizations that we will need to be very familiar with to discern the future events that will be otherwise left to the maniacal manipulations of our bought and paid for media. That "news source charade" has now degenerated in reality to a better version of the Kardashianmind pit. "News" gets literally a minute and then its off to the "distraction action" of the day!I have been a reader of books like this for several decades. I feel everyone who wants to see behind the curtain of obfuscation would want this book on their shelf!

Ignore the Horrible Editing
Yes, whoever edited this book did a horrible job. It's so riddled with editing mistakes that I found parts of it to be incomprehensible... blatant errors such as character names changing mid-story, duplicated words, missing words, abrupt and unaccountable scene changes, changes in tense mid-paragraph, grammatical errors that leave you scratching your head and wondering what the hell just happened. There's also that cringe-worthy and gratuitous love scene in the middle of the book that should have been scrapped. But forget all that. Silently acknowledge the errors to yourself and move along, because this book is well worth the trouble. At its heart, The Octopus Deception is readable, gripping, ghastly fact disguised as an edge-of-your-seat thriller. Keeping track of all the players in this multi-layered labyrinth of a story can be difficult - honestly, it would work much better as a movie - but, in the end, none of these problems really matter because the plot (and the entire premise) is so intense and suspenseful that it propels itself to a sudden and satisfying conclusion.

Read the appendix ... !
At first I didn't like the so many quotes, but as I kept reading I did get use to them. I really enjoy your honesty on the many talk shows I've listened to and I am awaiting your next book ... keep the talk shows going.I have read economic hit man ... also a great book! Keep up the great work !!!

Great 2/3 of book, a bit of a let-down at the end.
This is a true thriller that will grip you for 2/3 of the book. Sadly, the last third just didn't graab me. I felt mildly dissapointed. I still, however recommend this book if you are into the conspiracy mode. Author claims that this is real information disguised as fiction so he wouldn't get killed. Interesting spin on the shadow Government.

Halfway awesome
Fairly good. I knew from reading Estulin's nonfiction that this book would suffer from his disjointed style and trying-to-be-artistic prose. He uses way too many adjectives and you can see him smirking at his own brilliance as he describes action sequences. I guarantee you'll notice that he repeats certain phrases several times, such as "centimeters away from" and others. It's a good plot but it's hard to tell what is going on. Key sections feel like they've been deleted. I wish Estulin would work more closely with an editor, I don't think trineday can afford decent editors though.

thoroughly awesome read.
totally into the stories that the corporate main stream media refuses to discuss and this book was right up that alley. it was almost like reading the back pages in all the underground media outlets but with a story unfolding within the pages of the book.excellent read and thank you for the fun journey.

Boo, boo plus grade on this one. Given the Bilderberg background, was expecting more.
The subject matter of the investigation is rather interesting and the author has credibility in this area. However the plodding storyline - car chase / love story / government assassin in pursuit - is an incredibly predictible rehash of Dan Brown and Robert Ludlum sans character development.

A novel telling about real events
Massive financial fraud: a novel telling about some of the factors behind the tottering financial system and mass surveillance, that started in the 1990s with software for financial institutions that had a "back door" providing the ideal tool for insider trading.Estulin is a pioneer author on the Bilderberg group. For more detailed analysis of the financial fraud topic, the recent works (non-fiction) by Joseph P. Farrell can be recommended.
