What a sexy little model! It's solidness, the hefty weight and a highly tactile responsiveness and interactivity forces me to ask myself every day, that I pick it up in my hands, why I didn't buy more than just the one!!

This is a half scale replica of the famous pistol, the Desert Eagle. The make is experienced at this and also has several other models available. The replica comes in a mini case, and includes a pair of clips, some dummy shells, a vial of oil, and a cleaning cloth. The replica itself is a hefty little chunk of steel that looks and moves like the real thing. It has a safety, working slide, and switches, but it does not fire. The movement of the slide will eject the dummy shells out the side; it's a cute feature and fun to impress your friends with but mostly you'll just want to display this. Unfortunately, unlike the company's AK rifle, there's no stand for displaying the Desert Eagle. There's also no instruction manual, which would have been handy, though I believe the store page here at Amazon does have videos showing you operation of the replica and how to unjam it or take it apart. Is this for you? If you're a gun fanatic and like to display your replicas, but want something that doesn't take up so much space, this is a good one for you. It is a bit pricey but it's pretty good quality.

As far as model guns go, this one is incredible. Zero assembly required, it comes in its own case fully put together with rounds, 2 magazines, and one half scale model Desert Eagle. So far, I haven't run into any issues with wobbling parts or scratching and I've been messing with it consistently for a few days. Good durability. It's very fun to operate, despite the lack of firing. Personally, I'm a huge gun nerd and I've actually used this model as a reference for 3d modeling, and it seems extremely accurate to me. As an example of how detailed it is, this model includes a trigger disconnect which is when after firing, if you keep the trigger depressed while you rack the slide it does not automatically release the hammer again, you have to remove pressure from the trigger before being able to "fire." That is a ridiculous level of detail that goes to show a certain level of care put into the design and manufacturing of this model. The only real issue is the price. 100 bucks is pretty steep for a scaled down model like this. For reference, goat guns, a manufacturer of similar models, are looking at roughly half of that price or less for scaled down rifle models. If you have some extra money and you reaaaally like this particular gun, then go for it. If you want a more budget friendly option then look somewhere else, but know that you won't be disappointed with this particular products quality.

I’ve owned a full sized version of this device, so I feel qualified to speak on this miniature. It’s a very nice reproduction, and I don’t see any glaring discrepancies. The detailing is excellent—an impressive miniature overall. The slide cycles and ejects smoothly, and the trigger pull is surprisingly nice. The safety functions properly, and the replica is fully functional in its outward operation. I did consistently experience a failure to feed into the breech, which was the only operational issue I encountered. The package includes several extra parts, but there’s no information explaining what they are for. Because the components are so small, a takedown or function guide would be extremely helpful. It has been a long time since I owned my full sized device, so I didn’t attempt a full disassembly. As with another product I purchased from this vendor, there’s no manual included, even though there’s plenty of room in the carrier for one. The only things I wish were included are an extra magazine and a small display stand. I have a stand from another product, but it was designed for a longer device, not a handheld one. A proper stand would really enhance the display value, which is my main purpose for collecting these. I love these little replicas—they’re great conversation pieces, fun to look at, and enjoyable to collect. If you appreciate them as much as I do, I would recommend this one.

This miniature gun is really excellent if you’re a firearms instructor or in training. My husband is pursuing law enforcement and wanted this as a means to practice loading and unloading magazines. I didn’t grow up in a home with firearms (though my grandparents had them), but this has helped me become more familiar in handling, loading, and unloading a gun. The fact it’s non firing puts me at ease. As far as the feel goes, if it were a standard size, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. It’s a strong, durable metal. It arrives in a case with two sets of bullets and magazines, as well as spare parts for maintenance. It’s easy to use, despite not coming with a manual. I would truly encourage this for all firearms instructors out there. It’s a great resource to have for those who have never handled a firearm or who have a fear of it (but need training for safety reasons).
