Does the job.
I bought this mainly to measure the grams on my Turntable cartridge adjustment. They say not to trust the counter weight readings. Turns out mine were close but off by about .3 grams. So not bad at all.On to the Proster 20g/0.001g digital scale itself. Took me a few readings to understand the calibration procedure. Now that I know how it makes more sense. But you know how that goes, hindsight, right? It measures the 10 gram test weight within .003 grams. Quite acceptable. I used some coins to further test the accuracy of the unit and it was within .04-.07 grams of stated weight. The dime's grams were almost perfect. So between the 10 gram test weight and the coins I feel the accuracy is acceptable for my needs. However I do not think it can achieve the accuracy the +/- .001 spec states. The unit has a little plate you can set on the scale to help measure multiple small items. The tare button feature is really handy. So overall I would recommend this scale.

Works Great!
The only thing I don't like is that the little bowl is missing from the package. However, it works fine for my needs, so I am not returning it.

First one was missing parts, replacement was perfect.
The first scale was missing batteries, 10G weight. Amazon sent a replacement, all parts were included and the scale works as advertised. Nice package, easy to use.

It's Useful
Low cost but can get good measurements, but with effort. As others have stated, calibration is poor. Instructions are poor. I was only able to calibrate an offset into scale. But this is not all that useful with the span is off a bit. I checked measurement with supplied weight. Supplied weight closely matches my own weights. Use paper and pencil and/or calculator is get an actual measurement. Calculate span adjustment with known weight(s) and use with target reading to get what you need.

Works perfect
I rebuilt a 1949 RCA phonograph and used it to set the tone arm weight. Worked perfect

Poor instructions on how to calibrate and use.
How to calibrate this is hard to figure out, actually never did figure it out.The accessories are hidden under a false looking bottom and easily missed and thrown out like I did at first. The weight that came for calibrating the unit is stamped on top with the number "109" whatever that means. When to use the little pan and when to not use it is not explained. The "Tare" button is not explained. The different Mode abbreviations are not explained. This is a very poorly documented unit and Im not sure of its accuracy given I was not able to understand the calibration procedure. All Im going to use this for is to measure the stylus pressure (in grams) for various phono cartridges.

Nice for the price
I purchased this “scale” to set stylus force on a turntable for vinyl records. It sports a .001g (1mg) resolution but is probably not trustworthy at anything less than .01g due to zero-drift and uncertainty of the last digit. IOW, round that last digit up or down to the nearest .01g. Which is still probably 10X more precise than is needed to properly set stylus force. The device is mostly plastic and is physically light in weight. It comes with a weighing pan, calibration weight and tweezers and a plastic “bag” for storage + batteries. The scale is also offers a number of measurenent units inc gram, carat, ounce, Troy ounce and others. Tough to beat this for the price.

Incredibly accurate balance!
Needed to set up my new turntable, and the supplied method of balancing the tone arm was a simple "see-saw" device supplied by Ortofon, the cartridge mfr. This device can measure to THOUSANDTHS of a gram (1 milligram!) It took a while, but I managed to get the tracking force to the exact 2.0 g needed!
