These batteries last several months in use before requiring charging so it is no surprise that charging them by USB takes many hours. This replacement battery took about 12 hours to charge and the one that came out of the camera took around 12 hours too. I got this battery as a spare so that I didn't have to go such a long period with a camera out of action and to half the number of times I have to climb ladders to access the cameras. Using the swap out battery’s is a game changer for the ring. Brilliant

They work well and they’re easier to remove. But I will stay they do not last anywhere near as long as the original ring doorbell battery options.

Perfect replacement

Bought a few back up batteries so I can always have one charging - holds charge well and easy to swap in/out.

I bought a couple of these for my Ring Spotlight Battery Cam, one to fill up the vacant space in the cam, as it is only supplied with one, and the second one to keep charged in the house, ready to replace as necessary. I installed my cam on 4 December 2018 and it is now 4 February 2019 and there is still 19% left in the original battery, the second one is still at 100%. You get a little lead that you plug into the battery and other end into a USB A socket to charge the battery up. There is a lot of rubbish talked about Lithium-Ion batteries in general but they are really suited to cold conditions, I have used then for many years in weather stations, shed lights, and greenhouse instruments, and they keep going fine in even the coldest temperatures unlike other types (Alkaline for instance) which fail all the time. I am more than happy with these batteries, and of course they should last a LONG time too, they keep their charge well when not used and you don't need to charge them all the time as they will last at least 2 months if my example of the cam is the norm. They are not expensive either, think of the cost if the camera was powered by say Duracell batteries, these will last a LOT longer too as the can be recharged many, many times ! IMPORTANT UPDATE - 11 February 2019 The only downside is that they seem to be made by a different manufacturer than the ones originally in the Ring cam, the locking tab is slightly different (lighter stamped Ring logo on it for starters) and when I put it in my cam all seemed well as the red light came on, so I shut the case door and came down the ladder. When I opened the app on my phone the battery was not shown as not in, so I went back outside, opened the case door of the cam and be battery fell out, landing 12 feet onto concrete... oops fortunately only very slight damage to the plastic casing though ! I picked it up and inserted it back in again, there was a 'click' and the red light came on, but it was very easy to pull the battery out... I tried the orignal battery in and this time the 'click' was a LOT louder and the battery stayed in fine. Then on the 'faulty' battery I decided to very carefully bend the metal locking tab upwards, away from the battery body then tried it in the cam again until it clicked in with a LOUD click, then it locked in fine.. I then tried the second spare battery I had bought, and the problem was exactly the same... once again bending the metal tab upwards solved the problem after a couple of tries. This IS NOT the sort of thing you really want to find out while stood on a ladder in the rain, they should work straight away, good job I am from an engineering/problem solving backgound otherwise I would have sent then straight back for a refund, so PLEASE TAKE NOTE, make sure the battery clicks in with a LOUD click, otherwise, like me you will have to adjust them !!!

If you got a ring doorbell then you need one of these. The doorbell battery doesn’t last a long time with all the fancy extras you can pay for. All these videos and recording people walking by takes its toll. Then you get a reminder at 10% of use to charge it and it’s not always suitable. Then they take ages to recharge. Meanwhile the battery is missing! You definitely need this as well.

Passgenauigkeit & Qualität: Da es sich um das Original-Zubehör von Ring handelt, passt der Akku absolut perfekt in die Führungsschienen der Geräte. Der Entriegelungsclip (die Metall-Lasche) rastet sauber und spürbar ein und lässt sich auch nach häufigerem Nutzen ohne Hakeln wieder lösen. Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist gewohnt solide. Ladevorgang & Kapazität: Der Akku wird einfach über ein Micro-USB-Kabel geladen. Während des Ladevorgangs signalisieren die beiden integrierten LEDs (Rot/Grün) den Status. Wenn nur noch die grüne LED leuchtet, ist der Akku voll. Die Kapazität entspricht exakt dem mitgelieferten Original-Akku der Geräte und liefert die gewohnt lange, zuverlässige Laufzeit. Fazit: Für mich ist der Zweitakku kein optionales Zubehör, sondern ein absolutes Must-have für das Ring-System. Er spart Zeit, schont die Nerven und sorgt dafür, dass die Überwachung lückenlos bleibt. Der Preis ist absolut gerechtfertigt für den Komfortgewinn. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Très satisfait de cette batterie Ring, elle fait bien le job et se remplace facilement. Bonne autonomie et recharge assez rapide, c’est vraiment pratique d’en avoir une en plus. Elle est un peu chère pour ce que c’est, mais ça reste utile. Je recommande sans hésiter si vous avez un appareil Ring.

​Si tienes el timbre de Ring, ya sabes lo que pasa: en cuanto se le acaba la batería, te toca desmontarla y ponerla a cargar, y mientras tanto el timbre se queda ahí de adorno 🤦‍♂️. Es un rollo porque siempre coincide que viene alguien o esperas un paquete y no te enteras porque el timbre está muerto. Por eso me decidí a pillar esta de repuesto y es la mejor decisión que he tomado. ​Ahora, en cuanto me salta el aviso de batería baja, saco esta del cajón (que ya tengo lista al 100%), hago el "quita y pon" en un segundo y listo. El timbre sigue funcionando como si nada y me olvido del tema. Te quitas de encima el rollo de estar pendiente de cuándo ponerlo a cargar o de estar sin timbre en casa mientras la batería está en el enchufe. ​Lo bueno: Al ser la original de Ring, encaja perfecta a la primera y la aplicación la reconoce al momento sin dar errores de esos raros que dan las marcas blancas. La duración es exactamente la misma que la que traía el timbre de serie, así que por ahí genial. Se nota que es de calidad y la pestañita para sacarla es súper cómoda, no tienes que andar haciendo fuerza ni malabarismos para que salga. ​Lo malo: Lo que me parece un poco atraso es que sigan usando el cable Micro-USB antiguo en vez de un USB-C que es lo que usamos todos ya para todo 🙄. También es verdad que barata no es, para qué vamos a engañarnos, pero prefiero pagar la marca oficial y asegurarme de que no me va a dar problemas de conexión o que no va a encajar bien en el hueco.
