The Flying Squirrel Coffee Clouds in My Coffee, Whole Beans, 250g

I was really surprised when I opened a bag and tried to smell the beans. It was quite far from how good coffee is supposed to smell: a kind of artificial smell like some household chemical, which is not expected for the coffee at all. Alright, I thought, maybe this just seemed to me and once I’ll brew it (Aeropress) becomes betters? No, it didn’t become better. Only a bitter tasting liquid, no more.I tend to suspect that maybe I received a failed batch, or maybe the beans were in some place where they absorbed that unnatural smell. Either way, the worst experience ever.

Upgrading to 4 stars:Here is what I tried to get best taste out. Reduce grind size to aim for ristroto (1:1) instead of espresso (1:2). Reduce time to about 27 seconds. I normally use 33-37 seconds for lightest roast and 21-23 seconds for darkest roast.I see some complexity in taste now but I still cannot justify price considering that I get far better taste with another lightest roast that cost me 450 for 250g.------ original review ------As you can see in picture that the roasting is not consistent. It is more of medium roast and flavour is muted. For the price I expected far more.

I always have Aromatique with me its my favorite from Flying squirrel and since I am crazy about light roast coffee , I thought I'll try Clouds in my coffee and it did not disappoint. It works best black , I used Moka Pot .I also blended it with Kalledeverapura and Paramã and the result was brilliant with both.

I request you to kindly leave those Italian roasted overly hyped Brazilian beans at Bay and buy this. This coffee tastes best as a cappuccino and makes very fluffy and airy espresso. Notes are deep Woody and earthy chocolatey. Watch video for recipe.
