Leather Perfect Pace Halter Leash (Tan, 4' Leather)

This leash has changed my walking experience with my dog! I am no longer pulled down the street! The only thing I don't like is that the leather is thin and when I first started using it, my dog bit on it and I had to reinforce with cloth tape. I would buy it again.

I've used other halters. This one is my favorite. I bought the nylon one and used it about a year. It works great but the material is a light and harder to grip. This leather version solves that issue.I like the all-in-one leash halter combo. Bought just the halter version by mistake and they were easy to work with on the return.I used a little mink oil to soften the leather but I'm sure it would soften on its own with the oil from your hand and the dog. Would just take a bit longer.This is a great training tool for dogs that pull. Highly recommend it.

We tried a variety of leashes, halters to stop our very strong Berniedoodle with a genetic disposition to pull (Berners bred to pull carts in Switzerland). Anyway, this halter has made our daily runs a delight versus a nighmare. Even when we come upon rabbits, deer, or cats, our dog restrains himself with this halter, unlike the other methods we tried. We found the leather version got less caught up in our dogs thick curly hair so we are buying a new one after our dog began to wear through the leather after a few years. Well worth the money if you have a strong dog!
