Got this just yesterday and made sushi tonight and that is the true test for me. The blade went right through easier than all past knives I've owned! Which is a relief because I love to make sushi and hate when my knives don't cut through with ease. It came in a super nice box as well and just all around feels like a high-quality knife. Looking forward to using it more. Definitely recommend!

I'll admit I hesitated to purchase a knife this expensive. Normally I'm pretty cheep, and I was purchasing knives in the $20-40 range. They all looked nice online, but would never stay sharp very long and many ended up breaking altogether. Finally I decided to bite the bullet and get this one and it was a huge difference. I've cut meats, veggies, and fruits many times without having to use the sharpener yet, and it's still razor sharp just like when I took it out of the package. I should have skipped the cheaper knives and bought this one to begin with, it would've saved me money in the long run.

I loved this knife so much, I purchased two!! First, One for myself and then another for my dad. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase, the knife comes in a nice black box with a protected plastic cover over it! Inside the nicely packed box, the knife comes with a finger guard and sharpener. The entire setup is so nicely presented that I knew I could purchase this as a gift for my dad but only if the knife did it’s job. And let me tell you, This knife really is “like cutting a cake”. I have been using this knife for a few months now and seriously, I am not disappointed and a lifetime warranty!?!? This purchase just got even better. I love my knife and I literally use it everyday, you won’t be disappointed!

The beauty of this knife is only surpassed by the quality. It is so gorgeous, I don't want to use it. It feels really good in the hand. It feels well balanced. And it is really sharp. They are planning to make a full set that matches this knife in the future. So, if you are like me and like things that match, it will happen in the near future. And I will be getting the rest of the set.This great knife was released to get their name in households. So, the value of the knife is far greater than what you are paying for. Do yourself a favor and get this knife. You will not be sorry. There is just no down side to this product.I am going to be ordering more for presents to some family. We cook every meal we eat at home, as a family, so we need the best (: This is the best knife out there.I would honestly buy it all over again for the knife sharpener alone. We’ve now used it on the 3 knives we have in our kitchen and it has made them all sharper than ever. This would be an amazing gift for anyone for the knife and the sharpener too. Most people I know don’t own a knife sharpener which is crazy to me. Using a dull knife is the worst.

This is my first time buying a quality chief's knife, that's not part of a set sold at Target and sponsored by Martha Stewart. Those sets are great, but I figured it was time for an upgrade. The presentation was very nice, this felt like the upgrade I was looking for. What was even better, was the "Warning" card with a message from the CEO. That kind of care and thought when approaching customer service is exactly what I want in anything I buy. I really wasn't expecting it with a knife purchase, but that made it all the better. The cut was smooth right out of the box and it came with a sharpener. I put four stars instead of five because, the handle was a bit different for me. I'm used to just one piece large piece for the handle, this knife's handle is three pieces put together. Good feel, just different for me.

I like this knife. I typically use Wusthof knives on the daily, but decided to try something new for a go-to chef's knife. It has a nice balanced weight and cuts proteins & veggies with ease. This is now the chef knife that sits in my knife block. For the money paid, it's not a bad value at all. Good quality & solid design will last a long time for sure.

Seems like a nice knife but it looks like they don't know how to measure the micarta handles and then put filler material in and try to sell it that way. After a couple of weeks, the filler material started falling out leaving holes for food to get caught in. I'm finding that a 'sale on amazon' means its defective, junk, manufacturer error, or refurbished, not discounted new.
