Piaa 15286 H3 Xtreme White Plus Bulb

My more complete review will be found on the H7 version of this bulb.I try to keep my light colors/brightness consistent for front facing lights from my vehicles. So I have primary and bright headlights converted too. But my Subaru uses these bulbs for the driving lights. I'm that strange guy that will change all bulbs to be consistent. Years ago I standardized on PIAA Xtreme White so I keep and inventory of each type and buy to backfill use.Bulb life on any of the PIAA Xtreme White's are roughly half an OEM bulb. So if durability is the metric that you must have, this isn't going to be a good experience for you. However, if quality of light emitting from your vehicle needs to be clean, white, bright; this is a fantastic bulb. I would estimate color range something like 3500K or so; maybe as high as 4000k. But not even close to the 5000k you'll see in most vehicle LED Bulbs.

I love the lights and there bright as hell and have a great light pattern that reaches out much further and wider than my stock headlights perfect for what i wanted. They are 85wt=135wt. The only down side to them is there extremely short life. I've taken to buying extras so i always have a spare in the truck because its inevitable they will burn out.

I have tried different brands in multiple applications. You get what you pay for in the world of replacement bulbs. These were for use in a PIAA off-road light application. I have gravitated to PIAA replacement bulbs for other light brands as well. It is easy to get led astray by the different light output ratings, colors and other terminology. PIAA does not play these games. their bulbs are top notch. They are brighter and outlast other products. Period.

These bulbs should last a year! I got them in March it’s been summer in Alaska and it’s just now getting dark. So no use for them. I turned them on just now and it’s already burnt out? I haven’t used them more than once!

Quite bright. But EXTREMELY short life. I rarely use these, but they seem to burn out every 15 to 20 hours... and at this price, well, maybe LEDs are the way to go.

If you have the PIAA 520 ATP lights, I recommend this as the correct replacement bulb.This PIAA Bulb came packaged in Retail form, not bulk cardboard.Easy install, works as it should. Remember not to touch the glass while doing the installation.Human hands leave oil on the bulb, which then shortens the life.Not much else to add....

Bulb is bright and has a nice color, I'm using them as a custom reverse light and working good.

I purchased this unit as a replacement for the bulb that came with the lights as it burned out. This replacement has a much brighter, whiter light than the stock bulb which actually forced me to buy a second bulb son they would match. Bottom line is they work better than the stock bulbs and truly impress with their brilliance. The only reason I do not give it five stars is the price which is on the high side.
