Best Tape Today
Don't bother with any other cassette tape type than these. These reproduce high quality sound, and offer a solid build quality. These are reliable tapes.

Records well. Great sound quality too.
I have used other cassette tapes in the past, and I have found many to have fuzzy or indistinct sound quality. This Maxell cassette tape is completely different and has outstanding recording quality. It's the best I have used.

Great use for mix tapes!
I used these tapes to make mix tapes and they sounded very clear when I played it on my Sony boombox. A great value for the money, since cassette tapes are hard to find these days.

A great Product and a Great Deal, But Not Very Functional on Portable Cassette Decks
CD, being a digital medium, recorded onto cassette should sound decent. I used to do this a lot because cassette is analog, so in some aspects you are decompressing the music closer to its original, intended form. What a surprise! The music not only sounded worse than the CD on two out of three of my cassette decks (a LOT of fuzzing and much more than your average cassette), but it also just sounded pretty bad in general, and very faded on these specific cassette decks, which shouldn't have happened.Cassettes recorded from CDs have been known to more often than not sound at least comparable, if not better, than the CDs. But it was not the case with these cassettes. I recorded a Nirvana CD onto this cassette with horrible sound in two out of three of my cassette players. In other words, it sounded noticeably worse than a regular, standard, originally analog recorded cassette, even on my really nice cassette deck.Either way though, for less than a dollar, and free shipping, you can't beat the deal. It is a good deal indeed, and on my nice cassette deck, the bass and the music in general sounds very good; even better than the original CD.I think it was "just me" for having two portable cassette players that aren't the best quality. But either way, a good quality cassette recorded from a CD should sound decent on a decent portable cassette player (which I have), but this wasn't the case with me.Lesson learned- for cassettes, it is best to play it through a cassette deck with some decent speakers at least (I used computer speakers).
