BOOST High Protein Balanced Nutritional Drink, Rich Chocolate, 8 Ounce Bottle (Pack of 24)

I often skip lunch but by 2:00 would get this headache. My doctor stated that the headache was caused by a blood sugar drop created by - surprise - skipping lunch. He suggested I try drinking Boost on the days I skipped eating lunch. This I did and my 2:00 headaches actually did stop. I don't like overly sweet things but the chocolate boost is my flavor of choice. Chocolatey but not the semi-bitter cocoa flavor and not chalky tasting. I prefer chilled Boost over room temperature. The 15 grams of protein is a big bonus; 50% more than regular Boost. The best price by far for a case of 24 is found on Amazon - and if your a Prime member - free shipping. I tried the Costco brands but neither the taste nor the protein content were as rich as Boost. An interesting side note - I sometimes suffer from indigestion in the form of nausea and stomach discomfort which is why I don't always eat. My doctor ruled out ulcers and thyroid. I started drinking Boost at the onset of these symptoms and its' actually helped ease them. I don't understand why but its' been consistent so far. That gives two good reasons why I drink this product.

After my husband passed I did not realize I no longer ate properly until my orthopedist mentioned the weight loss. It was the lack of having to prepare meals for other than myself, it just didn't seem important to prepare a full meal for one. I started using Boost occasionally after that. The effects after a couple of weeks was noticeable in my activity. I was not eating enough to be the normal active person I was. While recovering from my recent hip surgery, I was concerned about healing properly. Thought it would be a good idea to boost (lol) my daily protein intake (rebuild muscle, etc). I had one bottle every day. Thoroughly enjoyed both the vanilla and chocolate and the Amazon price can not be beat! Surgery was eight weeks ago and I feel great now. These drinks are so delicious I'll continue having one every day. I'm always running out of the house without eating, so I can grab a bottle and feel like I did myself a favor! Very glad I found this product.

I got this for my friend that has been in the hospital several times recently. This has had a negative effect on his weight and appetite and his doctor wants him to use some calorie and protein supplementation. He didn't like the one in the hospital because it was chalky and he's a notoriously picky eater. I had gotten him a fruit flavored enhanced calories drink that he actually liked and drank. Shockingly, he requested something chocolate. So I got this Boost drink for him.He liked it! He actually thought it was very rich tasting and mixed it with some milk to dilute it a bit. He wants it again, which is a good sign. He's slowly putting the weight back on, which is also good. He hasn't had any negative side effects from using this. I definitely recommend this product if you like chocolate and need to put on a few pounds or increase your protein intake.

I buy cases of this drink pretty regularly. About once every month. It's mainly for my dad who's trying to put back weight after cancer treatment and he seems to really enjoy the taste and the protein packed in. I think the drink is a little too sweet and tastes a bit thick. Not perfect but good enough for 4 stars. I'll be buying this again if not from Amazon then from Walmart or whoever has the best price at the moment.Only complaint which isn't the fault of Boost is that Amazon delivery has (three times now) damaged the box and dented a number of these bottles. None of them were ruptured, but pretty badly dented. Amazon customer service is pretty awesome though in resolving the issue when I've called them up. They're third party delivery folks need to be more careful.

These kept me and my baby alive during my pregnancy. I had hyperemesis gravidum, and was sick my entire pregnancy. There was a point where I was told that I might be in danger, and was placed on home health care. Enter Boost. I had 1-3 of these a day, and I credit my baby being born safe, and us both being healthy to Boost. No matter how bad my sickest days were, I could slowly hold some of the 8 ounces down! Added bonus that it has folic acid, which was important because I couldn't take prenatal vitamins. Very, very tasty in chocolate. Now that I'm a busy mom, Boost has continued to keep me healthy. I couldn't say enough about how much this product kept me going in my hardest days.

Is there someway toget it at less expensive or as. a medical prescription for more assistance in affording and continue thislong term practice???Ann. Please contact me for more input.
