Not for 3d objects only slides and flat objects...
Blew my mind with the kind of zoom this one achieved... The photos look crisp and well detailed... this one is basically to examine flat slides... takes a bit of getting used to for observing 3d objects... but still for the size and price of this lil dynamite, i’ll say its a must buy...

Good magnification, too expensive
The product does magnify well but only on flat surfaces. It does not do well on curved surfaces. The guides that are included keep the magnifier from slipping. This product is fun but far too expensive. You can use the magnifying lens from a dollar store laser pointer and get very similar results. Remove the batteries before taking the laser pointer apart to avoid eye damage. The pictures here are of: 1. Hair and follicle 2. Back of a colored playing card 3. Close up of Penny 4. Salt grain 5. Pepper

Check the fit!
This is a really well-packaged and cleverly-designed addition for a cell phone to turn it into a microscope. It pulls light from the cell phone flash. I'd give it five stars, but the provided clips simply did not work with my cell phone, a Nokia 4.2, and I got no assistance from the company. The clips are just barely large enough that the product would align properly when pushed down, but not when left alone. It will probably work with most cell phones. But I've found good results using my computer and a $20 USB-connected unit.

Great quality, cutting edge technology device. But it won't replace a full size lab microscope.
Great quality, cutting edge technology device. The only problem is that because of the lack of adjustments it's not capable of serious professional cell counting or analysis. You can see the cells clearly which is amazing! But because of it's small size & cumbersome focus setup requirements it's very difficult to calibrate this mini microscope to get accurate cell counts or analysis. I think it would be great to 'just check for living cell matter out in the field', but it won't replace your standard full size lab microscope. If that's what you're getting it for then this is a great and outstanding product. Otherwise invest in a full featured professional unit to get the job done right.

Fantastic microscope. Missing a few of the lens guides ...
Fantastic microscope. Missing a few of the lens guides but the supplier is sending more.( works without the guide but the guide appears to be some added protection for the lens. 400X is achieved apparently by using the 8X mag on the cell phone and a 50 X lens in the scope. Tough to take pictures at high magnification without using some kind of stationary stand. With that said, tis a lot of fun!!

The Magnification is very good. However the Nurugo Box App Sucks
The Magnification is very good. However the Nurugo Box App Sucks. What a waste of time. It is a hassle trying to adjust and and set up the Nurugo Box App. Having to registered and log in is STUPID. Furthermore the Focus Ruler does not show up as advertised. The viewing screen is DARK on a Smart Phone (Android or iPhone) all black screen and you can not see what you are photographing. You get to see the image after you hit the capture button. Do NOT waste your time and money with this Microscope.
