Opticron 31020 43mm BGA Binocular Rainguard Black

A few years ago I bought a pair of Vortex Viper 10x42 binoculars at Viper's stand in the British Birdfair for a ridiculously low price, minus the rainguard. I was told about it and didn't care, because the high quality optics were foremost in my mind. A few years later, after having my binos rained on numerous times, and having to wipe the glass to see anything (the binoculars are outstanding and will withstand anything the elements throw at them), I finally realized a rainguard was an important accessory. So of course I figured Amazon could resolve this. After researching the options, I chose the Opticron, although somewhat dubious about the measurements and the fit -- none of the available rainguards quite matched my binoculars. Good job, girl! They fit perfectly and are now hanging from the strap. No more rain on my optics.

These eyepiece covers fit my Vortex Fury 8x42 binoculars very well. They are snug but come off easily when I want them to. They are made to fit over a thin strap, but my strap is the wrong type so I had to devise another way of attaching them to the strap. They are well-made and affordable.

I bought this to replace the ill-fitting rainguard that comes with Nikon’s Monarch M7 binoculars. After seeing a tip on BirdForum I tried this out and BOOM. Snug fit that stays on to protect the eyepieces when not in use. I’m still kind of appalled that Nikon has such a bad rainguard on a pair of $500 binoculars.

Got this for an expensive Nikon set. I like the way the cover can fit the glasses no matter how far apart or close the lenses are. All in all, a pretty good design.

This cover fits my Nikon binoculars perfectly. It is durable and strong and works very well. It stays in place and does not work it’s way off of the binos. It attaches very securely to the neck strap, no worries about losing it. Very pleased with this item.

Needed something to go on my binocs b/c the originals that came with my set started to break apart. I like them to be one piece. Fit perfectly.

Bought these to replace some lost lens covers on my Nikon Monarch 8x42. The fit isn’t perfectly snug, but these will work for my needs. I was happy to find an affordable and effective replacement. Product arrived more quickly than expected and in perfect shape. I’ll probably add a tether so this cover doesn’t get lost during my travels.

I lost the rainguard from my Swaro 8x32's. I'd never been completely happy with it and baulked at the price of a new one. I saw these for about 2/3 the price. I opted for the slightly larger size and got it spot on. Whereas the original one was very snug fit, too snug I think, these fit beautifully and are easy and quick to get off and on. I'm very happy I decided on them.
