State Series Quarters Collector Map: Also Including the District of Columbia and Territorial Quarters

I bought two of these after reading overall very positive reviews for this item in Amazon. I bought these for my nephew and niece in INDIA as I think these (with the quarters in of course) would be excellent gift for them to learn more about US in a simple yet interesting way..Now, I must say I am extremely happy with my purchase and have to say that it is money well spent.Pros:easy to place the coins in their spots and they are held tight.. the most important thing I felt is if you want to replace a coin, it is easy to take one out and put another back in with ease and without any damage of the coin slot. I like the recess provided with each coin slot for this purpose.good and concise description of the states and overall a nice item to hold on to and display.nice and sturdy cardboard, but not too heavy.Consnothing significant.. minor points to mention which might be a bit of surprize.size: some people might find the size (even after folding) bit large.Extra slots: the album contains slots for the DC & US territories Quarters released in 2009 in addition to the 50 states.while the 50 state quarters are not that hard to find these 2009 quarters (Guam, US Virgin Islands, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and Northern Mariana Islands) are extremely hard to find in circulation. so chances are you might end up having your collection incomplete and have empty slots in the album.Summaryvery good product and certainly will recommend this.

I cannot say enough good about this product. I have been reading reviews on others quarter collecting albums and had settled on buying this one, then they ran out of them. I was really upset, but because of my procrastination, they got in a new shipment by the time I was ready to order something else. I am so glad I chose these. I have 3 children ages 13, 10 and 6. Each one of them loves these albums (I bought one for each of them and got mine free with amazon's special offer). My 10 year old is really enjoying the geography of it. The 13 year old loves that she has her own album and has a great head start on filling it. The six year old is thrilled to be collecting her own quarters and can easily "load" the quarters into their spots all by herself. Mom (me) is thrilled to get such a wonderful album for such a great price. Check out the measurements on this, it's really a nice big book. It has the state seal in each quarter placement spot and has additional information about each state on the outer pages. It also has spots for the not-yet-issued 2009 coins. Please know that after much research, I really found this to be the best one out there. Enjoy!

My granddaughter LOVED this..... she went from my house to hers and immediately broke into the piggy bank looking for quarters! Great project, lots of information and learning but fun!

I purchased this for my 6 year old who has developed an interest in coins. I figured that a good way for him to get started was to collect the state quarters - they are relatively easy to find, they will teach him about the states, and they are relatable for a 6 year old (he knows what states are and he knows what quarters are). This collector map is perfect for him (he actually hugged me when I gave it to him!). It's visually appealing (which is important to kids), it's sturdy, and it's got great information on it. It also gotten him curious about how money is made and how coins are designed.It has a velcro tab that keeps it closed, so it's easy to open, but stays shut as needed. The quarters go in securely so there is no chance of them falling out. It's got lots of great information on it, like the years of issue and facts about each state. Also, since it's laid out as a map, it's a great way for kids to get familiar with US geography.Only slight downside is that it only has one slot for each quarter, so you have to decide to focus on D or P quarters, or just not care about the mint. My son, the avid consumer, solved this by suggesting we order one more. That way he could collect both. I've agreed since I really like this collectors map and it will keep him saving his quarters for longer.

Bought for my niece because she was interested in the state quarters. She loved it! Has been collecting all the quarters ever since. She’s about half way through and has had no complaints.

I ordered this, the newer product from Whitman called 'Statehood Quarters Map (Hardcover)' as well as "The Official U.S. Mint 50 State Quarters: Complete 100 Hole Collector's Folder, Complete Collection 1999-2008 (Hardcover)". This was by far the best of the three. It includes space for the new DC and Territorial quarters. It looks good and is very easy to use (yes, even though you are merely storing coins, there is a distinct difference in 'ease' of use of the three products).If someone put a gun to my head and asked me to point out a problem with this product, I'd say its the size. But, that being said, it still fits on my book shelf, so if not a hassle at all. Love it, and will return my 'official US mint' copy to get another one of these (Thats for my dad, he collects these coins too). This coin collector is great. The coins were easy to put and if there was a problem, fairly easy to remove again. The book itself is quite large, which I did not fully realize. The map inside is great, very colourful and well labeled. The added information in the inside cover was a great bonus too. I would recommend this collector book more for children as I believe it's geared more towards them, however I still really enjoy it. Overall great quality product for the price.
