TECHGEARDOT MATRIX VIEW Case fits HTC One M9 - Flip Case Cover With Auto Sleep Wake Function (ORANGE)

Well where to start?! I had the original HTC Dot View case before this one, so I can compare both. My HTC case broke through use and to be honest it was probably fixable with glue (as it was the hinge) but I wanted a change of colour from grey anyway. So upon receiving my Techgear case (by the date that was specified), it was packaged in a suitable bubble wrap jiffy bag, then in a cellophane packet. The original HTC cases come boxed, which to be quite honest is just a costly waste of packaging. I have noticed previous comments about the case not working, so I thought it was a sensible touch that on the cellophane packet, Techgear had put a sticker on advising of how to correct the case if it's not working. This involves running your thumb up and down the hinge (just follow the instructions on the sticker). Just to add to that... From what I've read, this is an issue with some of the HTC cases too so it's not just Techgear. By following the advice you should get it to work if you do have this problem. Neither cases have had this issue for me.So after opening, upon first inspection the case literally appears identical to the HTC case. In my opinion with a few minor improvements... The back has a rubbery feel to it, which believe me you will be glad of! The times my phone has slid off the dashboard in the car, or off the sofa arm with the HTC case! Now that wont happen with this one. I also notice that the front cover goes practically all the way back. The HTC front cover would not go back as far which can make handling a little awkward at times. I would suggest not pushing it back with force though, at the end of the day it's a hinge and excessive force will shorten the life span of the case. The only other tiny difference is a teeny little Techgear logo on the back. Other than this, the case is exactly the same. Mine fitted perfectly onto my phone and I opted for blue which really compliments my Silver HTC One M8. All Dot View functions work perfectly with the case. I have even made my own Christmas tree Dot View background which displays perfectly. (I used a pixel ratio of 307 X 537).So my verdict is that this case has definitely got the build quality (in my opinion better) of the original HTC Dot View case. The minor changes like the rubbery back and the flap pushing back further are most welcome. The cheapest price I've seen the original HTC case is on here for around £17. The fact I have just saved £7 on a case that to me is more superior than the HTC case, I can safely say I will be buying a couple more in various colours for when I feel like a change! Excellent product!! Couldn't be happier! :)

Received in two working days and worked straight out of the bag as I had the HTC Dot View app turned on ready, so a great start. As the owner of white hair I'm not much into gimmicks but found this case pleasing and useful. Unless you've set security, opening the cover handily wakes the phone, while closing puts it back to sleep. Double-tapping the cover displays the time (also handy if like me you don't don't often carry a watch), followed by details of your last three phone calls. Tap a name then swipe up when the green arrow appears and you've called them without even opening the cover; incoming calls are also displayed and can be answered with a swipe. I think the word for that is "cool".Chronic texters with nimble thumbs might have trouble holding the cover open, but I imagine that would apply to any folding case; it's no problem for a one-finger inputter like me. Taking photos is a bit fiddly - portrait mode is easy enough (though left-handers will probably need to hold the phone in their left hand and use the right to tap) and landscape requires the cover to be at the bottom.This case won't suit everyone but for a tenner I can't find much not to like.

First of all, this is a great case & I believe worth the money.In the looks department this excels, because I didn't want to hide the beauty of the M8 with a clunky case - this certainly looks the part.Hard plastic on the back and sides and rubber on the front, although not giving the phone fantastic protection, it will help a good amount in case of a drop.So let's talk about the Dot View, the main selling point of this case. When it works, it is extremely cool - You can answer calls, make calls to recent numbers, receive notifications, check time, weather and more with the case closed. All very cool and the first few days it worked a charm, however lately it seems a little intermittent - It may be because of the recent update to Lollipop, or more likely the front of the case not sitting exactly right.I've seen others with the problem and the solution is to give the case a little stretch and this seems to have helped - again it works most of the time but just be wary of this.Apart from that, I love this case! Which is saying a lot as I've never used a case on my previous phones.

I'm a bit of a geek & having had an HTC One M8 for 18 months was appalled with myself that I'd never tried the dot case features, all because the official case had been so expensive. Also, because of the rounded back of the phone I presumed a case could never look good, as that had been a complaint about the official version.This Techgear case is superb. Wow. My phone suddenly again looks supercool. There's a hard rounded back that fits perfectly and then the silicone/rubber front (love the tactile feel of it) lies perfectly flat over the phone. I like that the overall effect is still to leave you with a classy, slim phone.It fitted and worked perfectly straight out of the box. I've been using "premium" leather case until now and am much more a fan of this.The magnetic screen shut down works flawlessly when the case closes, but for instance if you're using web radio of any kind that continues to play.I'm a sucker for the dot matrix effects and have a nice space shuttle "live" background.You can see your alerts on the dot case just by tapping it. You can answer the phone without opening the case. You can even play a retro game with the case closed.I bought on sale for £6.99 against a stated full price of £9.99. It's definitely worth the £9.99 and probably rather more.

Cette housse remplit parfaitement sa fonction et est de très bonne qualité.La matière est agréable.La dimension est parfaite pour le M9.Et la fonction DOT est super.

Coque de remplacemet

Belle coque pour HTC. One M9. Pratique... Le seul inconvénient est qu'étant mate, cette coque n'est pas facile à nettoyer. S'il y a un produit spécial merci de me l'indiquer. Il y a toujours des traces de doigts ou de poussières.

La partie arrière est excellente, jolie noir, moulage sans défaut.Alors que le rabat et sa charnière laisse un peu à désirer...La partie avant est voilé et ne plaque pas correctement.Quand à la charrnière, elle est fixé avec une sorte de scotch double face rose qui se voit quand le rabat est ouvert.Pour le prix c'est plus que satisfaisant mais la prochaine fois je mettre les 20€ de plus pour la version officiel HTC, qui est bien mieux fini.

Bon, on ne ce le cache pas, ce n'est pas la coque officielle HTC DOT VIEW, ET POURTANT !!Elle fonctionne parfaitement sur mon HTC DESIRE 820, quand je ferme le clapet l'ecrand s’éteint automatiquement, je vois mes appels, mes SMS enfin tout !Je suis très contente du prix que j'ai mis pour cette coque! en plus de sa une livraison plus que rapide !JE vous la recommande !
