PleatcoPPS6120 Filter Cartridge, White

So i bought this because i wanted to fill my 30,000 gallon inground pool and i have well water. I was going to have a water company come and fill it, but they said it would be $900 and i would have to wait a month. Soi bought this filter and I also bought a camco rv filter and used both together. So at first it was looking good. Then the water turned orange. By the 4th day the pool looked like a green swamp. So i thought well that was a waste... but after the pool was full, all the stuff that did get through the filter settled to the bottom in 1 day. I vacuumed the pool and it was perfectly blue.. which has never happened with my well water. I usually have to spend weeks putting chemicals in it. So im not sure if it was this filter or both the filters i used, but i have to say they both worked perfectly and saved me hundreds of dollars.

Quality product. I’d recommend you attaching a quick connect to it. It will be more convenient than screwing it and unscrewing it from the hose. It’s awkward attaching to hosebut no big deal. Solid product. Performance: Filters water as fast as my hose flows which is fast. As far as metal removal, I’m sure it filters great. I really didn’t have a metal issue or anything, really just got it for overkill I suppose.

I used this filter to reduce the hardness of my pool water by using a small pump to pump from the pool to the filter and back in to the pool.

I have used this filter for years. I am on a well and use it when I need to fill my pool or hot tub. It does an excellent job taking out the rust and dirt. Only clean water goes into our pool / hot tub.

Used this filter to fill our pool. 5400 gallons. Looks like we just filled it with river water. Pool is brown, rusty in appearance right from the start!! We have well water and spent the money for what we thought was a good filter. Unfortunately we were wrong.

This is designed to filter water you fill your pool with. My house has 65 year old copper piping and when I fill the pool the copper gets passed into the pool. This has solved that problem

We have a well water and filled our 13000 + gallon above ground pool. Hooked this on end of water hose. Stayed on and I did see the filter turn kind of an orange color, but it is still mostly white. We always pour bleach in the well when we fill the pool each year. Our water always ends up being dark brownish green every year. This year was no exception. So, the filter didn't filter enough out to stop the same problem we always have. No big deal. We just put metal out in and run the filter and backwash and water clears up. I had hoped for better results with the filter. I wouldn't buy another one. I'm not saying it didn't filter anything, but I really can't tell the difference. However, we do have a lot of metals in our well water. So, maybe it would work better with different water? I can't say. I can only review what happened with my experience.

Love this filter and it’s the only way we will add water to our pool! We have very hard water. We replastered our pool two years ago and the calcium was so out of control we had to drain and acid wash it. Out of the tap we are just under 300 on hardness. Using this filter to refill our pool our hardness was 150 when it was finished being filled. It did take 24 hours to fill the pool using it but anyone who battled hard water will take that over the mess and headache hard water causes.
