Works well!!
Works really well! Surprised. I have a blackout shade but so much light was still coming in the sides so I added on these blackout panels. In the picture, I have one of the blackout panels hung on the left. On the right doesn't have one. So you can see the difference.

Very effective for blocking light and heat
I live in Phoenix in a southwest-facing condo so I get blasted by 100+ degree sun all day about 8 months a year. Tinting my windows did practically nothing but these blackout curtains do a great job blocking out the light and heat. I don't have a laser thermometer to check but I would guess the temperature in front of my window is at least 20 degrees cooler than before. The photo attached shows the window with one of the panels on the left and without on the right.

Perfect for 108 in by 50 in curtains
I love my velvet curtains in the bedroom but they were not blackout. In the morning we get the sun beaming right into our windows waking us up. It was hard to find blackout liners long enough for my 108 inch curtains, and these were the only option I could find. I got the 101 inch length and it is perfect. It took a little while to figure out how to best attach them. My curtains have a rod pocket, back tabs, and a ring hook belt. I hang them using the back tabs. I am including some photos of how I ended up using the hook belt and the included strings to tie the liners to the back of the curtains. I also used the rings that are already attached to the liners to hang in between the tabs. The two photos of the room show the difference between having these on (right window) vs not (left window), as well as having them on on both windows.

Perfect for the job!
Got these uber quick after agonizing over which of many styles/brands to buy. These came out PERFECT. The width fit to a T -- 71 inch wide windows with pinch pleat drapes, so two of the 45" panels with overlap in middle and ends were almost exact. They seem to do a great job of blocking the light. I will have to shorten them, but I'm not going to bother hemming them. They don't look like they would ravel. Hope I stay as happy with them as I am now. Oh and no smell, btw. I doubt I will ever launder them (I'll just buy new ones).

Too heavy for my use.
These liners are very HEAVY and will not hang right with light weight curtains. Sent them back.

Blacks out all light coming through the curtain and is adaptable to most curtain styles.
Two pannels fits a sliding glass door. The material is fairly thin, but dense. Light does not penetrate through it. The handy little loops at the top allow you to attach them in different ways to different types of hanging setups. Mine is the typical pinch pleat with hooks. I just slip the loops over the hook and the slip the hook back on the rod. It hangs nicely behind the curtain. And doesn't show around the edges of the curtain it is behind. The material is a bit heavier than you would expect when you try to hang it up.

Blocks out light perfectly!
I wake up with just a bare minimum of light and has been searching for ages for curtains that were truly blackout. Most blackout curtains aren't that pretty and most don't do what they say they will. These are the perfect solution! They completely block out a street lamp that's directly in front of my clear windows and in the morning they block out the sunlight so well!! I can finally sleep in!!

They work!
These liners are what we were looking for. They make a big difference. In the picture you can see the one with the liner on the left and the one without on the right.
