large high quality pot. measure your cabinet to make sure it will fit.
Really big pot. It's heavier than you'd expect because the bottom is multi-layered to more evenly spread the heat. Measure your storage cabinet before ordering it--it's quite large. It works very well and I like it a lot.

My favorite cooking pot. Ever.
UPDATE 2024: I’ve been using this stockpot regularly for 4 years and it still looks and functions like new. No warping, discoloration, or deterioration. Absolutely worth the investment! ORIGINAL REVIEW 2020: Oh man. I LOVE this huge cooking pot! (My kids have been mocking me for how much I love it! Haha!) I am so pleased with the size, quality, and the price. I've been batch cooking for the freezer like a mad woman. Pros: • High quality stainless steel construction • Glass lid with steam vent • Dishwasher safe, easy to clean • Huge capacity (20 qt = 5 gal!) • Cooks food evenly • No harmful non-stick coating to worry about • Perfect for canning (I haven't actually done any yet, but I would estimate you could fit 6 quart jars) Cons: • I literally can't think of any!! • Well, ok. It's a beast to handwash, just because it's so big (and my sink is small)! • And...you might have to put an addition on your house to have room to store it. Did I mention that it's huge? Bottom line: if you're into freezer batch cooking, canning, or feeding small villages, this is the pot you need. I have recommended it to all my friends, so now I'm moving on to strangers. YOU NEED THIS POT. :D

Works on Induction & MUCH better quality than the price might suggest.
This LARGE pot was maybe just a bit bigger (1/4" larger in diameter) than my biggest induction burner, but the huge capacity was perfect for my needs. I honestly was expecting something of lesser quality than the price suggested. The quality was clearly there (my other pots are All-Clad D3, Le Creuset, Staub). The polish, weight and fit of the lid were perfect, and the glass lid unexpectedly fit my huge all-clad saute pan, woo-hoo!. The handles were not as heavy duty as my other brands, but definitely enough to handle the load full pot. It heated at a reasonable speed on my induction burners (not like a single thickness pot--which would translate into scorching) and transferred the heat evenly to the contents based on my observations. I needed something huge for VERY occasional use, and did not want to invest in my usual brands, so this was PERFECT. I was willing to settle a bit b/c my use for this was infrequent, but I am truly pleased with this choice. The only negative I can think of (and it's a small one overall) is that on the OUTSIDE of the pot where the sides turn into the bottom, there is a small ridge--maybe a millimeter or two. This might mean a sauce dripping down the sides could catch there and take an extra minute to clean, but sauce dripping all the way down such a TALL pot unnoticed seems like a rare occurrence to me... I hope this review helps you make up your mind, and I hope you write up your discoveries too--it helps us all.

Great for canning
Update 9/8/16 - I have had this canner for over a year now, and I still love it! I just spent three days canning 21 quarts of tomatoes, 12 quarts of spaghetti sauce, 9 pints of salsa, and 12 pints of pizza sauce. It worked so well through the whole process, and it still looks like new. I especially like how the glass lid lets me monitor how hard the water is boiling, and how the lid sits in the edge of the pan, so no water drips out onto the stove top. Well worth the investment! I have been canning for a few years now. The first canner I purchased said it was not for flat top ranges, however that was the only canner local stores had, so I purchased it. I used it a few years, but eventually it rusted, so I was on the lookout for something better and I found this. I love that you can use it on a glass top. I also like how the lid fits compared to my old canner. It has a tight fit. My old canner lid just sat on top as when the water boiled steam condensed on the lid and ran down the pot to the drive. I also love that the lid is glass so you can see how it is boiling without lifting the lid all the time. It is a little more expensive than the one I previously used, but not by much, and it is much higher quality! I have used it a few times and really like it. It is very sturdy and will last many years!

Great Pot, Handles Need More Rubber
Review of the 20-qt. pot: Having purchased this at a very reasonable price, I was concerned that the quality would perhaps not be good. I needn't have been. This is a very sturdy, very nice pot for anyone who cooks huge amounts of food or wants a pot that will do waterbath canning nicely. It is heavy and solid, but not so heavy that it is hard to manage. That is empty. Because it is so big, once you have very much food or water in it, it will be quite heavy. Which brings up the only negative I have. The rubber part on the lid handle is too short. I've burned myself a bit by grabbing too far down on the lid and grabbing hold of the very hot metal. I think the same could be said for the rubber on the handles of the pot itself, but having learned from just grabbing the lid, I was very careful where I put my hands when grabbing the handles of the pot. I don't need a 5-gallon pot to cook food, but it is a great size for canning. I read some of the questions and answers, concerned that it might not work with my ceramic-top stove, but several people have tried it without problems so I gave it a shot, and didn't have any issues. It did take quite a long time to heat the water to boiling, but I think that is more an issue of my stove and the amount of water I was heating. Because I boiled very hard tap water in this, I do have some hard water spots in the pot. I probably could figure out a way to get them off without using scouring powder, which should not be used on this, but they are cosmetic only, so don't bother me. If the handles were a little more protective, this would be a 5-star pot, but even as it is, I am very pleased with it.

WOW! how did I go without?
I previously had an aluminum 22 qt stock pot with steamer insert that we bought at the super mercado for making tamales and soups, etc. it ended up pitted and with small holes on the sides after just two years. I am so glad I got this new pot. I wasn't sure how it would be compared how fast and light the aluminum was, but it was definitely the same or better. It has a slight more weight to it because its ss, but that's fine because I am not worried about holes now! The bottom is very thick and doesn't appear that it will get dented or scratched as easy as my old one did. Now I need to find this pot in 40 qt to replace my other aluminum stock pot! I wish this one came with a steamer insert so I could make tamales, but I will figure something else out and make it work. I have a large oblong center (5th) burner on my gas stove, and this was big enough to cover the whole burner which made heating up my contents (made pozole mexican soup so far) evenly and quickly. The stainless is easy to clean and resists scratching, even with my metal ladle. The glass top(which I love that I can see thru) has a vent hole, but still creates a nice seal and sits in a little recessed area along the top of the rim of the pot which prevents boil over. Will buy again but I don't think I will need to for a very long time!

Love this perfect pot!
We bought this pot in January of 2019, over a year and a half ago at this writing. Truthfully, we hesitated to buy it because of the inexpensive price. We needn't have worried. This pot has been as perfect a pot as a pot can be. About every three weeks, we cook up a huge vat of vegetable stew. Afterwards we carry this very heavy concoction to the garage refrigerator to cool. This pot has sturdy covered handles that haven't come loose and protect against the heat. The best feature of this pot is that the thick stew DOESN'T BURN on the bottom, like the flimsy aluminum pot that was its predecessor. With that old pot, if we didn't constantly stir, the vegetables would quickly glom on to the bottom and if we let it go a little longer without stirring, there would be an inch or two of burned veggies that would ruin the taste of the entire batch of veggie stew. That happened more than once, and after all the prep of chopping and slicing, the veggie stew was a terrible thing to waste. Not a problem with this pot! We haven't had any burned veggies since we bought this pot. The mirror finish is still sparkling and unscratched, the clear glass lid is vented so it can stay on the pot without cracking the lid open. The dimensions of this pot are just what we wanted. We put it through the test and it passed with an A+.

Wonderful
This is a great-size stockpot for sauce and canning season. The height is perfect—less than 10 inches tall—which is exactly what I was looking for since my microwave is a bit low. The silicone handles are a really nice touch and are heat-proof. Overall, this is a very nice pan and I’ll love having it during canning time.
