I had tried for years to find actual chip shop curry sauce (or at least something that tasted at least 80% like it). Going through all the supermarket products which claimed to be "chip shop" curry sauce, I was always left disappointed as they never tasted anything like it.A few years ago I stumbled across "Dinaclass" curry sauce and seeing the reviews, always wanted to try it but I didn't want to spend all that money for over 4kg of the stuff. In the last week I decided I would just go for it and I'm really glad I did.It doesn't just look and taste like the stuff chip shops use.... It actually is the one many chip shops use.A tip to make it quickly for one person:Put 1 and a half tablespoons of curry powder into a saucepan, add approx 100ml of boiling kettle water to it. Put the hob on at a 5 heat setting and keep stirring. In a few minutes it will start bubbling and begin turning into a thicker paste, turn hob down to 1 and add approx 30ml more of water from the kettle. Stir for another minute and it will be at that perfect chip shop consistency ready to serve (thick but slightly runny). It takes no more than 5 minutes.Based on a quick calculation, this bag should make around 400 servings using the above method. This method makes the same sized curry as a large curry from the chip shop, which makes it just 6p per pot of curry sauce. Fantastic value.The BBE date on mine was January 2022 (about 9 months shelf life) but if you store it in airtight containers, it will probably be fine for 2 years.

Well where do I start ... my late Nan had a chip shop for 35 years and her in-laws had it 20+ years before, As long as I can remember my Nan had this make in her shop and wouldn't use anything else .... it's bloody beautiful proper chippy curry !!! Got this bag and split it with my mum and will last a while ... one simple tip : add little bits of water at a time to make a paste and work up the the requrid amount... enjoy over home made chips ... you won't purchase anything else

i used it before but couldn't find on sale anywhere until i found it on amazon really good curry one down side was the size of the pkt it's much too large a smaller one would be ideal

I love this curry. It's the best in my opinion so I've resorted to buying big bags rather than £2 for little carton from fish shop. Love it !!!!!!!
