Presentations of the pictures are not giving that happy feeling what it is supposed to .

The book arrived in perfect conditioned. I'm so pleased to see my favourite childhood book back in my hands. The illustrations are everything.

I love these books. Bought this version for my daughter who is starting to love them too, but I'm sending it back. The inside of the book is a real let-down. A lot of the original illustrations have been cut and pasted in vignettes, losing the context, and some of the print quality in the images is very fuzzy and blurred. The quality seems to hop from good to poor, it's not consistent, and certainly does not do justice to the beautiful original images. Whoever laid out this book from a design point of view really messed it up - even the way the poems are laid out is messy to look at, and lots of unnecessary busy detail added. I've ordered second-hand copies of the original books individually instead.

Flash backs to the joy I derived from these books as a child prompted this purchase for a young neighbour. Good quality book, although the smaller size of the original books seemed more in keeping with the magic of the illustrations. The book includes the Fairy Alphabet so it is suitable for early readers but offers more advanced reading too.

I love the book and bought it for my grand-daughter. Delivery is another matter. Left wet parcel on my doorstep and had the cheek to record it as 'delivered to resident'. Not at all impressed.

Delightful fairy illustrations. Two year old granddaughter looked through it with grandma and was entranced.
