The A&W Root Beer Caffeine & Sugar Free Classic On-the-Go Drink Mix Packets are a fantastic way to enjoy the classic taste of root beer without worrying about caffeine, sugar, or calories. These packets are incredibly convenient for anyone looking for a quick, satisfying drink on the go, and they work great whether you’re at home, at work, or traveling. Pros: Classic root beer flavor: A&W nailed the classic root beer taste in these drink mix packets. The flavor is rich, slightly creamy, and has that familiar, nostalgic taste of traditional root beer that makes it so enjoyable. Even without the sugar, the taste feels indulgent, and it’s a great alternative for anyone trying to cut back on soda. Zero sugar and caffeine: One of the biggest benefits of these drink mix packets is that they’re completely sugar and caffeine-free. For those of us trying to watch our sugar intake or avoid caffeine in the evening, this is a perfect solution. You get all the taste of root beer without the added calories or the energy spike from caffeine. Convenient and portable: The small, single-serve packets make it incredibly easy to enjoy root beer anywhere. I love keeping a few in my bag or car for when I want something other than plain water. You just tear open a packet, mix it into water, and you’ve got a tasty drink in seconds. Customizable with premium sparkling water: For an elevated experience, try mixing the packet with a premium sparkling water like Maison Perrier. The bubbles from the sparkling water mimic the fizz of a traditional root beer, making the drink feel like a premium, craft version of root beer. The Perrier adds a refreshing crispness that enhances the overall flavor, turning an ordinary drink mix into a delicious, soda-like experience without any of the guilt. Cons: Not a perfect match for canned root beer: While the flavor is close, it’s not an exact replica of the full-sugar, carbonated A&W root beer from a can or bottle. Without carbonation, it lacks that initial fizziness, which is why I highly recommend using sparkling water to get closer to the real thing. May require more than one packet for stronger flavor: If you prefer a stronger root beer flavor, you might need to use more than one packet depending on how much water you’re mixing it with. For a more intense flavor, I find that using a bit less water than recommended helps deliver a richer taste. Artificial sweetener aftertaste: For those who are sensitive to artificial sweeteners, there may be a slight aftertaste. It’s not overwhelming, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re particularly sensitive to the flavor of sugar substitutes like sucralose. Tips for Use: Use sparkling water for a premium experience: For the best result, mix these packets with a premium sparkling water like Maison Perrier. The bubbles replicate the fizzy feel of real root beer and turn a simple mix into a craft-like soda experience. Adjust water for desired flavor strength: If you like your root beer flavor stronger, use a little less water than recommended, or try adding a second packet for extra flavor. Great for making root beer floats: You can even use this mix to make a caffeine and sugar-free root beer float. Mix the packet with sparkling water, then add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delicious, guilt-free treat! Overall Experience: The A&W Root Beer Caffeine & Sugar Free Drink Mix Packets are a super convenient way to enjoy the classic taste of root beer without the added calories, sugar, or caffeine. They offer a great alternative to sugary sodas, and when mixed with premium sparkling water like Maison Perrier, the drink reaches a whole new level. You get the nostalgic root beer flavor, but with a sophisticated bubbly twist that feels like a more elevated beverage. It’s perfect for anyone looking for a guilt-free treat that’s both refreshing and satisfying.

Great way to get protein! Tastes just like a root beer float. So easy to use. Put vanilla protein drink in blender, add the powder. Blend a little. Add 4 to 5 ice cubes. Blend well. Is sweeter with 4 ice cubes but I prefer 5. So you can decide how sweet you like it. Gets nice and frothy. I make one every morning and get 30 gms of protein from Pure Protein I also get from Amazon. Easy and so tasty to get a good amount of protein. Tried adding a half of banana. It was good but I like it better without the fruit.

These are great. I actually add one packet to my vanilla protein powder drinks, topping with some reddi whip. YUMMY. Just like having a root beer float only better for me. I like perking up my protein drinks with different flavored mixes and when I found these on line, I knew they'd be a hit. One packet is plenty in my drink. And of course they're good in water too. No carbonation, mix well, just be certain the water is good & cold. Excellent and happy find.

This powder ends up with the normal taste of zero sugar root beer, but the powder itself is... weird. First off, my suggestion would be to use this with carbonated water. I don't think it would be good with normal water. With that said, it's weird because you can't put this in before carbonating the water, which means you have to mix it up separately, but you don't want to mix it in too much water, or else it dilutes your carbonated water too much. I mix the powder into just like 1-2 ozs of water in a glass measuring cup or mason jar. It basically makes a concentrated "syrup," and you add it to about 16-20 ozs of water. I used almost a full SodaStream bottle's worth (up to the line) of carbonated water, which I thought would make it too watered down, but it was actually good. You could use a little less if you want a stronger flavor. Here's the weird part though: the powder simply does not dissolve all the way. I read that some people said to let the powder sit in water for hours. I used it immediately once, then let it sit in the fridge overnight the next time, and both times, there were lots of "bits" floating at the bottom (see the picture). This was even after mixing it up aggressively and using a spoon to try to break it up. But regardless, I would say the flavor was the same both times, and the undissolved "bits" didn't seem to affect the flavor. Overall, this provided the zero sugar root beer craving I had. I won't be letting it dissolve any longer than a anymore, since that didn't seem to do anything for me. I'll just use it and ignore the bits. Pretty good!
