Miki Falls: Autumn

A very good story and looked beautiful. I still learn from Mark's YouTube videos. I'm happy to see his beautiful art in story. Will 100% support an incredible artist as much as I can!

I bought books 1 through 3 for my 10 year old daughter who has recently developed a love of manga. She has been drawing with Mark Crilley's youtube videos and reading his books was the next logical step.She finished all three books on Christmas morning! Then read them again. And again!I've read 2 of the three we have and the story is sweet and interesting. It's a love story lite, with likable characters and a good but simple plot.I'd recommend this for tweens and up.

I love this series. Mark Crilley is very inspiring. His [...] videos are excellent as well and that is what made me want to buy them. I have to admit, this is a very different type of manga and style, however, if you give it a chance, you'll realize how terrific this art and story is!I love how you can see the brush strokes and pencil work, it looks like real art. It's refreshing to see the original style instead of ink and computers (not that there is anything wrong with them).

Mind. Blown. Mr. Crilley is at the absolute TOP OF HIS GAME, and it shows on every page. Every visual is lush and detailed--each locale breathing--every character brimming with life and energy. The narrative is truly unique and engaging--you will not put these books down until the story is over! 'Miki Falls' will not disappoint, no matter your age! The future of comics is here--and his name's MARK CRILLEY!

It's amazing to think this was all done by just one guy: story, art, pannels and such. Miki Falls has an interesting and original plot, but it's strictly romantic, or shōjo if you will. So if you don't like this genre, you should avoid it; if not, go for it.

I used this for one of my students for his reading Tudor program.He really enjoyed the story line.

This book is part of a series of books. As soon as I saw the author, Mark Crilley, drawing in his youtube videos I knew I had to read all of his books. I read these so quickly I wished there was more to the series. Now I can't wait to read his next series.

Found this book in the library - a sweet story.

***SPOILERS*** Mikki and Hiro's relationship takes a drastic turn as they are forced from the comfort of their hometown by the scheming Reika. This was by far the most intriguing of the series if a little far fetched. It showed a different side to the characters and revealed both strengths and weaknesses in them. A major key moment for Mikki is revealed and you begin to realize the magnitude of what they're up against. Clever writing and truly gorgeous artwork as always, it held me on edge right up to the end! I couldn't wait to get started on Winter!
