Altachlore 5% Sodium Chloride 3.5 g Ophthalmic Ointment, Compare to Muro 128, pack of 2

I bought this from a search that resulted in an offering with 4+ star rating. I have used Muro 128 and Akron for years with no discomfort. In 3 days I have burning and itching and red eyes. This is not the same product. It is not the same rich creamy white, it is much thinner looking. When I went to check on the ingredients, I saw another offering with only 2 stars! Disappointed Amazon does not combine these, and very disappointed in the product.

My husband has a corneal erosion that requires him to use 5% sodium chloride ointment in his eye every night. Rather than paying the high price for the Muro 128, we have always bought the generic brands. The other two brands that I had bought before this one were great products. I purchased this new off-brand thinking that it would be just as good. Unfortunately, my husband woke up each morning with grainy, gritty remains of the ointment in his eye. Of course, this just aggravated his erosion worse. He tried it for several mornings before throwing it away. We will not be using anything else of this brand.

My husband uses this ointment every day for an eye condition. I purchased this product for the price. While the ointment seems to be thicker than other brands we have tried my husband says it has not affected the efficacy of the product. We will buy again. The product was packaged & shipped and in excellent condition. The product size was as described.

You can't beat this price. It performs exactly as it should, just like the first one I bought at the local pharmacy store.

I have an eye condition that requires that I use sodium chloride 5% opth oint. I have used a brand in the past that for some reason increased in price so much that I have tried other brands. After trying a couple of brands and not being satisfied I tried Altachlore. Quite honestly I don't like it as well as the original generic I used but for the huge price difference I am very satisfied with Altachlore.

Had been using similar product which was unavailable because manufacturer is in Puerto Rico and sustained damage. Works great.

Fast service. Used to help try and keep my cat from losing her other eye.

I have a chronic eye condition which requires nightly use. This has worked well for me and is a much better buy than Muro.
