Not 14 degrees - not even close. The dovetail pin soclket was cut with the 3/8” Hymnorq Dovetail Router Bit, the butterfly spline cut with Magnate 5401 spline cutter. The Magnate measure very close to 14 degrees. The Hymnorq measure approximately 10.5 degrees. The 1/4” bit yielded similar results, and also offered a cutting height about 1/32” less than advertised height of 1/4”. So many problems with this set. I gave up testing with the 3/8, and Amazon is issuing a refund.

For the money these bits are crazy. This set is less expensive than a single bit from most name brands. I am just a hobbyist and dont use dovetails much so i wasnt concerned about having the absolute best bits and got these to save some money. Very happy with my choice.Only negative thing so far is that there was a little blow out on mdf indicating that perhaps they were not as sharp as a truely professional set.

It took a few test pieces to dial the bit in, but it makes incredibly strong 90 degree joints. We were using a man made material which was very abrasive to the bit, but after changing out to worn bit for a new one, results were exact. This will become my new "Go-To" bit for future projects.

It does what it is made to do but it is a hard joint to get right.

I'm very happy with this Mitre Lock bit.I'm new to woodworking. This bit works really good,easy to set up. Thick 1/2 inch shank. Heavy duty. I've only had this a few days. But like it alot. And very reasonable price. Great purchase.

I got these bits because I don't do a large number of dovetails with my router. They got the job done and were cost effective.

The router bit I purchased was a lock miter bit for 3/4 “ thick material, I’m using it to join the outside corners of some posts I have to build. The bit was very reasonably priced and has performed flawlessly so far. Thanks SMB

I have used the large one to cut dovetail on Maple. No burnt mark. Clean. It is very sharp. I like it.
