Easy to use and holds well!
Perfect and easy to use.My sister and I had dedicated some time to figure out how to use these to hang my new hammock and were reading the instructions... Well, no instructions were needed. We had them up and attached to the hammock in a couple of minutes by wrapping them around the tree trunk and using carabiner hooks to connect the loop at the end to the hammock. We wanted to hang the hammock a little higher and just looped the straps around the tree trunk once more.I happened to put the hammock up on a day where we were experiencing 20-30mph winds. I kept thinking I should go take the hammock down... but it has all held up perfectly!

Great product and Superb Customer Service!!
First order was shipped promptly. My son used the straps with his ENO for approx. 3 months when the strap broke. I contacted customer service via the Hammock Bliss website. Their rep, DOV quickly responded to let me know that there had been a manufacturer defect and that they would gladly replace the straps at no charge. And I didn't even to ship back the broken ones! We have received the new straps & my son couldn't be happier to be able to use his ENO again. I highly recommend this company for their excellent customer service & quality products.

They were long and strong; I would buy them again and again. Keep up the great value for the outdoors type people. Thank you!

From standing to hanging in under a minute with these straps!
These straps operate exactly as you would expect! I hang at a gazebo at work on my lunch breaks and these straps make hanging from the low rafters a breeze! I am a big guy and they support me with no issue! If you don't have time for knots, these are the way to go!During my first hang I noticed that one of the straps had stretched about 2 inches - the loop itself was stretching from the stitching points. I contacted Hammock Bliss and was IMMEDIATELY (like 2 days later) sent a new set of straps! The new set hasn't stretched, and now I have three perfect straps!

Okay, but make your own...
I give these straps 3 stars for quality but I feel that they are too short (61 inches) to earn a higher rating.I suggest making your own straps from a pair of 12 ft, 1100 lb rated, nylon tie down straps for a pair of longer and more versatile straps for about the same cost.Cut the metal parts off of the tie down strap and tie a 3 or 4 inch loop in one end. Tie a second loop about 2 ft from the first and then another loop about every 8 inches. Repeat with the second strap. To hang the hammock, wrap the strap around the tree and pull the working end through the end loop to create a choker loop around the tree at the appropriate height. Do the same with the other strap and then tie or hook each end of the hammock to loops about the same distance from each tree.Another option would be to only tie the first loop in each strap and use a Marlin Hitch in place of the additional loops. This strap is more versatile but proper placement of the Marlin Hitch on each strap requires practice.

Good for small trees/poles or as an extension to other straps.
These are great straps. Wider than some of the others. Stitching is sturdy. Comes with a carry bag. Just know that they are meant for smaller trees. Look around at your area and see what the typical sizes are. If you hug the tree and your fingers don't meet, you will definitely need bigger straps. I use them as an extension for some of the long straps. I have a lot of huge oak trees in the area that I like to hang my hammock from. Sometimes I need a few extra feet of strap so I hook these up with a carabiner to the other straps and they work great.

The picture makes it look like it's the industrial straps
I would like to change my Review. Previously my opinion on this product was true. The product was not a quality I was willing to give another try. HOWEVER!!!!! The company noticed my bad review. personally emailed me. Asked if they could send me a better quality item of theirs, because customer satisfaction is important to them. Recieved it. And the product is a completely different strap. It's better Quality. Looks like it will hold up. I am impressed. Mostly for the way they handled it. I would shop again from them just for the fact that they cared. The straps are worth it. So is the company. No longer applicable!Previous review.I would give this thing 0 stars. The picture makes it look like it's the industrial straps. But it's not!! They are just cheap plastic that ripped FIRST time I sat in my hanmock. I was lucky it held on my a thred because my back would of been really sore for a while if it had completely collapsed. Sorry to write this but it's true. Don't do it!!! You can go to REI and buy some really nice ones for about ten bucks more. And they back up their products.

these are a great addition and with some YouTube research
As long as you aren't trying to hang your hammock from a redwood, these work very well. I used these on 300 miles of the Appalachian Trail in weather as low as 9 degrees F. They withstood freezing rain and haven't shown any signs of fraying. If you are looking to get into hammock camping, these are a great addition and with some YouTube research, you can find many simple, convenient ways to attach your hammock for quick set up and take-down.
