Veere Grenney: A Point of View: On Decorating

Excellent book! I am so happy I bought it! Now that there are so many books about so many unknown and upstart designers, a book like this that shows real professional work from a mature and knowledgable decorator is a pleasure to have. Very glad I can add this book to my interior design library.By the way, I am amazed at Amazon.....I got the book two days after I ordered it, and I am all the way south, in Peru, South America!

The one thing you need to know about Veere Grenney is that he has superb, understated taste. This book showcases his talents very well and is interesting to read. His rooms don't shout at you like so many other designers and they also represent their owners interests which I really appreciate. A great read if you admire cosmopolitan taste.

This is a beautiful book about extraordinary interiors, presented in a highly personal manner by the designer. The book provides insights to how the designer makes decisions and why, and how other designers or places have influenced his aesthetic.

Veere Grenney is not well known in the US, but this book should cause you to rank him very highly. Beautifully photographed rooms and splendid outdoor shots. Interesting and intelligent commentary by the designer on his life and development. The Triumph of Englishness as a modus vivendi and a design aesthetic.

Veere Grenney creates outstanding interiors which seem to blend elements of traditional, classic, and contemporary design. The book is well written and includes great photography. Highly recommended.

Lots of good photographs of his projects over the years. Very comprehensive as he considers every room, inside and outside, have a comfortable home.

A magnificent book-filled with beautiful pictures- for people who like contemporary design but want a classic twist on it. Also, this is such a special book, as it is a memoir as well as a decorating book - it is a book full of inspiration.

I received this at xmas and read it through in two days, what a great story and a wonderful read for anyone interested in decorating !
