Good Sound, Easy Set Up - IF you do it right.
Been living with three of them for about 3 weeks now. As suspected, with only one tweeter the highs are a bit muddy, but certainly acceptable. Plenty of bass with the standard 3 inch drivers. When combined with an EQ in iTunes etc it's sound is excellent. To connect to the Pioneer app, you HAVE to update the firmware. Set up and update was simple, about 10 minutes each unit. Note that after you update the firmware, you will have to set up the speaker as new again, so it will not just reconnect to your network. Also note that to date, I can not stream the same song to multiple speakers simultaneously. You can actually play different songs through different units via the Pioneer app. You can however get all the speakers to play the same song via Airplay on iTunes. There is an app for Android that give you Airplay access just like iTunes, but you have to root your phone - which I'll be doing next. Overall, very happy with the product, I would have given 5 stars but the single tweeter kept it from earning that in my view.

Great Airplay speaker
I purchased one of these units in mid November and followed up with several more for myself and even bought one as a gift for a family member.I was looking for a whole house music solution that would afford me the ability to control via my iPhone and my computer, play different music in different rooms or sync the system, have a small footprint and offer good sound. Oh, obviously wireless was a must. I compared this product to the Sonos system. Sonos was excellent at all my criteria BUT, it is still expensive. Also, I felt that the Sonos interface for the iPad/Iphone was going to be cumbersome. The Airplay interface that is available with a flick of my thumb on my phone and a few clicks on the computer is just far easier. The one caveat to my review is that I am 100% Apple and Airplay is only for Apple. The setup could be easier, there are other reviewers on here that comment on that. Once you get it though you can replicate with other units if desired. Sound quality is good, I would rate it a 7/10. Highs aren't terribly great but just OK. Good bass. Couldn't imagine the A3 with a subwoofer, that would just muddy up too much. One issue I had was that the unit wasn't turning on automatically when I looked for it on my phone. You have to enable the auto play feature. Once you set the unit up on your WIFI network simply leave the unit on. Press and hold the input button on the front. The little LED's will light up purple and the unit will now to into auto mode. This way, you will always see it listed on your iPhone and it will just power up and start playing. You cannot play more than one speaker with just your iPhone, but you can do this with your computer. Thats fine. iTunes lets you control all individually with volume.I HIGHLY recommend this unit if looking for a good, affordable and reliable Airplay solution for your home.

Pioneer does not support their products
I've had this speaker for years, and it worked pretty well, with some quirks, for a long time. We streamed Pandora through it at a store I own. Last summer, the Pandora streaming stopped working. Pioneer had a note on their website saying they were working on a fix. They apparently weren't working on anything, because there is no fix, and they no longer even pretend to be working on it. Their answer? Buy a new one. So my answer to them - and to you - DON'T BUY ONE OF THESE. THEY DON'T SUPPORT THEM. In this throw-away society, these guys are leading the way in filling up our landfills, and I won't help them. The speaker works for Spotify and Internet Radio still, so I'll use it for one of those until it no longer works for those too. Which you know will happen. Then I'll find another option. But it won't be a Pioneer product.

Great product, but overly difficult to setup in my opinion.
I only gave this product three starts because, even though they sound pretty good for the price, I had to dig around the web a lot just to figure out how to make them work with my HTC phone, MacBook Pro, Windows PC, etc. So buyers beware: it's not trivial to set these up. Once you figure it all out, they work fine. Also, contrary to advertisements, seems to me the HTC integration is not all there yet, took me a while to figure out how to use these with my HTC One X phone. Works best with AirPlay compatible Apple products. Having said that, these are very nice speakers for the price, they have a crisp, clean sound. I have mine in a living room area that serves as work area and they sound great.

Another iOnly product...
Unless you want to bow down to the iGods, DO NOT BUY! So lame. Great sound! But trying to circumvent the Apple software was a 2 day nightmare. Any suggestions that this works well with non iproducts is grossly misleading! You've been warned.

So far so good.
I read the negative comments and decided that I could still use this speaker and here is why. First of all I have a dual band wireless router and g is no issue. Second, the cutting out problems are probably due to an overloaded wireless or ip conflict and I can solve those. Third, I can figure out nearly anything! So my experience so far is that the instructions are incomplete. You can do at least a simple reset by holding the "- Volume" and the power on button from what I can tell and I figure this out by playing "button roulette". I needed this feature as I learned it to one wireless network and decided to move it to another. There is nothing in the instructions for this! On the instructions, they do make sense after you realize that there is a pattern, do this first and then go to the specific application instructions labeled A through E (I think). Read them first before doing anything, maybe a couple of times? A little odd, but once you realize their method, it starts to make some sense. I am using airplay with an iPad and it seems to work with no issues. I will update this in a month or so. I cut out a star for what can only be described as goofy instructions!

Very good unit for the price - good value
The device works very well, with very powerful sound across the aural spectrum. Also very pleased with the delivery, both from a timing and a quality POV.
