This is a hand held clay pigeon thrower, 28 inches in length for right or left handed throwers. It will launch up to three clay pigeons at once with an infinite variety of speed, loft, trajectory, etc. It is made of durable and lightweight plastic and should last a lifetime with proper care.

Simple design, great function
I have been extremely impressed with this clay pigeon thrower. It is easy to load and I have had no problems with clay pigeons breaking while loading or releasing. It works great for throwing 2 clay pigeons and with a little practice throwing 3 was easy and consistent as well. Works just as good in cold weather. It is light weight and looks much more durable than other hand throwers i've seen.

Awesome hand thrower
Awesome hand thrower. If you can swing a bat you can use this no problem. However it's takes almost a month to get to you if you use regular shipping.

A bit too Big and Heavy for me...
I have a number of hand throwers and I wanted to give this thing a try...Received my Swing-Shot, it took a little over a week to get to me. I guess I understand why it was shipped via Ground because this THING is BIG! It would probably cost more to ship it quicker than I paid for the product.First, it is made of good quality plastic. It's heavy and you definitely need two hands to throw it. I let my 9 year old try throwing and he had a lot of trouble. Definitely better suited for strong teens or adults.Loading the thing is pretty easy but, you need to do it carefully. We found that if you don't hold it flat and guide each clay carefully into the slot, you can break the clays. Don't hold it up and let them slide in fast! Every time we tried we broke the clays. They smack into the bottom of the thrower, or each other, with multiples and crack! Kind of a pain...We threw singles, doubles and triples with it. It works but requires a lot of effort to get the clays to go very far. I mentioned it is HEAVY and when you put 3 clays in it, it REALLY HEAVY.Also, we tried throwing it both right and left handed, which works. But, to get a decent throw you really need to swing it pretty hard and it torques your inside wrist after a few throws with the required "double handed" grip. I think the grip is a little too short too, but I have fairly big hands.CONCLUSIONIt's a neat idea. It really looks like a plastic revamp of the old Clay Covey thrower which had a much longer handle and was made out of aluminum. If you're pretty strong, like swinging a baseball bat and your hands aren't too big, go for it. I don't see us using it too much though, I think if you tried to throw a box or two of clays with it, it would wear you out.

Best Hand Throwers I've Ever Used
I have owned two of the Swing-Shot throwers for a couple years and have taken them out to numerous shooting outings with friends and family. I have been very impressed with their performance and they have become my favorite way of launching clays, and my friends and family all agree.Bottom Line: Get these throwers. If you enjoy clay shooting, you will want to get one of these. Manual throws have never been so fun (or challenging for the shooter!)Quality Overall: Good- The throwers are injection-molded plastic and are very durable while still being light enough for prolonged use. I have thrown at least a thousand clays with one of my throwers and it still throws just as well as it did when it was new. The noticeable areas of use are along the inside of the track, where small ridges exist to help the clays spin on their way out of the thrower. After a thousand birds, the ridges are worn down some, but I haven't noticed any issue with throwing as of yet.- One thing that has been around since I received them new, is a slight bend/curve in the paddle part of the thrower. I attribute this to the injection-molding process. Regardless, I haven't noticed any effect on the performance of the thrower as the bend is very small. The information that comes with the thrower does mention that if the thrower is stored in too hot temperatures that warping can occur, and that hand bending it back to normal shape is the solution.Ease of Use: Good, then Great- Getting used to these throwers takes some practice. When first trying, my own and other people I've had try, tend to swing it just like a baseball bat. This usually results in the clay exiting way too early, or at a very odd angle. The correct throw in my mind, is more similar to a golf swing, just horizontal. A golf swing, in that the throw should start slow and 'whip' at the end of the throw rather than a baseball swing which is faster at the start. Getting a feel for the whip-like swing takes a few practice throws but once understood is very easy to do.- Along with the whip-like swing feel, making sure that the angle of the paddle is correct takes some practice as well. Myself and my friends had an issue with this as well at first, as if you allow the board angle to point too high or low (with respect to the ground/horizontal level) the bird will shoot too high or into the ground on exit. Through the whole swing, you need to keep the paddle angle fairly level and consistent and not allow wrist turning at the end to cause issues.Performance: Great- I've thrown many, many birds with this thrower and with that practice, so many different types of flight paths are easily achievable with this thrower. High arcing curves either left or right, low and fast birds that rise, straight and easy floating birds, true pairs, true triples, you name it. This thrower allows for so much more variety than other throwers, whether manual, mechanical, or fully automatic. It really is a blast to throw the birds, almost as much as shooting them! Almost. :)Just recently, I went out with friends and we had at our disposal a foot pedal operated, automatic thrower that ran on battery, a spring-loaded mechanical thrower with seat, and my Swing Shot throwers. We started out using the automatic thrower for ease of use, but since it throws the same flight path over and over, it started to get boring. I decided to pull out my Swing Shot throwers to show my friends and to make things a bit harder. We ended up basically forgetting we had the automatic and mechanical thrower, and didn't use them the rest of the day. The Swing Shots were just way more interesting to throw, and especially shoot.

Greatest thing ever!
I love this thrower! I got it back when it was only available on Ebay, but it is super easy to use and with the ability to throw 3 at a time is amazing! No one else has one and all my buddies borrow it when ever they go to the range. This will replace all previous designs of throwers
