Elica Kitchen Chimney, Auto Clean, Touch Control with Baffle Filter 60 CM, 1200 m³/hr (OSB HAC Touch BF 60, Stainless Steel and Glass)

Got this delivered by Amazon on time. For installation, the technician should be better educated about what is needed for a particular model and inform the customer to be ready for the same. In my case, the carpenter made a hole for the chimney exhaust of 4 inches and told me this was enough. On coming to my place, the technician informs me that it needs to be at least 5 inches else this model will give a problem. I had to again call the carpenter and reschedule a visit for installation, this could have easily been avoided if I had been informed earlier to be prepared to have a 5 inch outlet. As for the chimney, great looking and all soft touch, no issues so far. It's only the timer setting that is not meant for Indian conditions where you have power failure and it re-sets every time. There should have been some capacitor to hold the time for at least an hour or two for it to be relevant here. Other than that, so far been working fine and only time will tell how reliable all the electronics are on this model.

Likes:Installation was a hassle free event; Elica professional came together with pipe, caps and cutters for window pane to place the product on wall.Suction power is good enough for a spicy food habits of India.All you can hear while it is operational is a humming sound of fan, and it fades very quickly as you step away from the hop area.Touch is good, works with wet or greasy fingers. Not with gloves on or end of spoon.Looks Good.Grey areas:LED lights are there but underpowered, and leaves you asking for more light. A better would have been a 4500K rather than ~6000K temperature of light.The clock resets to 12:00 everytime there is a power failure. That is a spoiler. It would have been better if either right time is showed or clock disappears. - What were they thinking while designing a product for India?Haven't used autoclean feature yet. Will update upon such an event.I would have loved if the product came with power rating and BEEE certification of any sort. - Just a suggestion to make Elica ahead of the lot!KR,Vivek

Very bad installation service and response from Elica. Installation person is not ready to dig the hole on the wall for outlet pipe. Every other brand installation person is taking care of full installation and this Elica engineer is giving lot of trouble and even response from customer care executives also very rude and rash. Think twice before buying Elica products.

It is working fine. The installation guy took around 1200 rs. for duct pipe and 650 rs. for making hole in wall and fitting it.Too much noise comes out when started.

Product is good and not much noise compared to my old chimney. People installing the chimney recommend using aluminium pipe instead of the plastic one included not sure why it is included if not good enough to be used for a long time. apart from that its really nice and good looking functional product.

Amazon delivered the chimney promptly on the promised date. Packaging was neat & overall delivery experience was good.Installation request was raised by Amazon promptly. I received the call from Elica & appointment was fixed based on mutual agreement.My ordeal began after this. Elica team were very casual in being on time. I had to once miss the appointment as they were going to be late.It took almost a week to take the measurement, fabricate a bracket & install the chimney.I had to send a mail to request Elica to follow the committed time. While installation there was not electricity. So installation person was supposed to give demo afterward. Even after following up, the demo is not given.Now coming to the chimney, its a basic chimney with auto clean function. We have used few times. Seems to work fine so far. It's slightly noisy.

The product is nice, but the service is not good. Had to spend around Rs1600(just for installation) in which the service guy takes a good margin for everything like duct and a freaking ₹150 for a duct cap.I can't get started with the hole made on the cupboard. Forget the hole, he destroyed my entire cupboard. Elica you better train your service guys. Even a 10 year old can make a better hole on a wooden board.Coming to the product, it's a bit of work to maintain. You've got to clean the baffle plates atleast every week.Tip:Just mix vinegar and detergent in a bucket of water and immerse them for half an hour and then clean it with a used toothbrush.The noise level is not an issue.Recommendation:Buy the product, install it yourself if you are good enough.

It is one of the best kitchen chimney. I am happy about its performance.
