Poor audio quality

Very good product if you need to talk with low voice on the phone. I don't like people hear me when I talk on the phone, so this product helped me because the microphone is able to capture low voice.

This mic is really great at isolating sound to record a one person interview from your mobile device. It comes with a pouch to transport the mic in too.

Im pretty disappointed with the sound quality this lavalier records. I obviously wasn't expecting professional quality either. The quality from my phone is much better than the one this product provides. It's full of static, my voice sounds distant and low.

Not as useful as I expected.The reason I say this is that I have yet to find an app that supports audio monitoring. Having a separate port to be able to also connect headphones at same time as this microphone is a great idea and sounds like it would be very useful but not if you cannot monitor the audio you are recording. I actually thought it might be defective at first or a switch somewhere I was missing but in the fine print it mentions that this is "audio monitoring (app-dependent)". At this point I've only been able to hear the audio after I have already finished recording and play back what I have recorded. Also thought I might be able to use it with my PC or Windows 2-in-1 tablets but wasn't recognized at all on Windows so I guess that's why audio pro's prefer Macs since it worked just fine plugged into my Macbook Pro and you could easily see the improved audio levels in GarageBand.Having said all that it does pick up audio a lot better than the built-in microphone on the various devices I've tried it and the vocals sound cleaner. Also, keep in mind that it is an omni-directional mic so it will not only pick up vocals but any background noise. It is quite sensitive that it picked up the humming noise from my refrigerator when I was testing it out in the kitchen!
