Upadesa Sahasri: A Thousand Teachings

Dry, but good.
A bit of a dry read, but this is Jnana/gyana. Written by the big giant head of Advaita Vedanta himself. Read it, and contemplate and be freed. This is old school truth, not New Age, Pop Yoga platitudes.

very concise
Like the other Ramakrishna Mission books I read it gives only translation and no detailed explanation.(My advaita learning experience is collected over 20 years) English font is too small almost needing a magnifying glass. I have tried for books on Naishkarmya siddhi for the last four years in English and Telugu and it was the only one I found. So I can say I have read Naishkarmya siddhi. But strictly speaking the only help it gave me was to follow the Sanskrit verses and padchhedhamu (splitting the compound words) while I was watching the Naishkarmya siddhi videos from Chinmaya channel either on Youtube or on Sandeepani saadhanalaya videos taught by Swami Bodhathmananda, which I can recommend. it is a good adjunct for learning, but by itself it is not of much use.
