Great tape
I had never used silk tape before. Stronger than paper. Looks fragile but is very strong and waterproof. I will be using it again.

As a RN, this is my preference in tape. It stays in place and doesn't damage skin. Excellent for children. I never use plastic.! It can tear skin

ok tape...not great "adhesion"...
this tape is just ok... it has decent breathability and high tensile strength, but not great adhesion or flexibility (zero lengthwise stretch), and poor water resistance...- specifically, regarding "adhesion"; • it sticks not so well, if the skin is not freshly washed. • it sticks ok, with washed skin, to skin cleaned with alcohol and let dry, and to skin cleaned with alcohol, rinsed with h2o, and dried. • it does not maintain adherence to skin, when there is major skin movement, such as joint areas, hands, fingers, loose skin areas, etc., due to being very strong, yet zero stretch lengthwise • it adheres ok to itself • it does not stick, if, after applied, it gets wet or sweaty- aside from "adhesion", it has the following attributes; • though it claims is to be water-resistant, it is not and loses adhesion when it gets wet or you get sweaty • it tears by hand, but not very easily, bi-directionally, no scissors are required, and it tears a pretty straight line across…it can also be torn lengthwise to ±½" • it does breathe well • it has zero stretch (opposite of Kinesiology Tape aka KT behavior), which is why it does not adhere well at joints or areas of major skin movement. • it has great tensile strength, for what that is worth to you • it is pretty soft & gentle, comfortable, and flexible, but zero stretch lengthwise| bottom line |• a 2 star tape, due to the lack of water-resistance and lack of stretchability, yet it has decent adhesion and breathability, so, for it’s worth, purpose & design, it gets 3 stars.| bottom bottom lines | • if you need a highly adhesive, flexible (some lengthwise stretch), 1” medical tape, we have, so far, found the Nexcare Flexible Clear to be the best of the bunch; Nexcare Flexible Clear First Aid Tape, 1-Inch x 10-Yard Roll, 2 count • however, we have ordered another 1" medical tape, that may be better for you, as it gets outstanding reviews and comes highly recommended; 3M Transpore Clear 1-Inch Wide First Aid Tape, 10-Yard Roll (2 Rolls) we will analyze and comment on this review, once we receive and test it. • we also ordered a half-dozen KTs to evaluate, comparatively, once received and tested, as well.ok, with less ado, Thank you and deke out.

frownies alternative
I bought this tape to use for an unconventional purpose: I stick a small square in between my eyebrows while I sleep to prevent wrinkling. A few weeks ago, I noticed the beginnings of a frown line forming because I have a bad habit of making faces and scrunching up my eyebrows while I sleep. I looked into buying some frownies, which are little patches of tape that keep you from furrowing and wrinkling your brow while you sleep, but they are expensive for being just tape.I've been using this stuff instead 5 mights a week for the last two weeks, and I already see a difference. When I wake up the little line is completely gone, and while it reappears slightly by the end of the day, it's much lighter than it was before. This is a very soft and flexible medical tape. It grips well enough to stay in place, but doesn't hurt to remove (I moisturize the area before I put this one at night), and best of all, it doesn't pull at hairs. That way, if I get a few eyebrow hairs caught on it, I don't have to worry about accidentally waxing off half an eyebrow in the morning. (Obviously, your mileage may vary if you rip the tape off violently instead of gently peeling.) The tape is easy enough to tear by hand-- the edges have little scallops to help you get a tear started. My only (very minor) complaint about this tape is sometimes the threads come out at the edges. It doesn't affect the function of the tape; it only bothers me because I'm a neat freak.
