I’ve had the disk and a beginner book on My List for a long time and finally treated myself. It’s easy to get started and fun to plan the other yarns and patterns and even beads! to try. I’m very intrigued.

I like using these mini-discs for my kumihimo braids because they pack into a smaller space and don't waste as much thread at the tail end of the braid. They are just like the full-sized foam discs except for their diameter, so if you're used to using those, there will be no learning curve for the mini-discs.

Good quality smaller foam Kumihimo disks are super convenient. Small size makes them easy to take anywhere. Thick, quality foam lasts a long time. You really can't go wrong with this purchase. I keep several projects going at the same time with these little disks. The smaller size allows me to braid with less waste, too.

The quality and size of this mini Kumihimo disk is wonderful, very portable and comfortable. Unfortunately I received the single disk, not the 3 pack I ordered. I'm certain this was an oversight and I have faith that they will be correcting this shortly.

The real deal: thick but flexible foam that holds even my tiny silk thread firmly in place while I work. It doesn't bow when I have a weight on the finished cord end, and it's perfect for taking out and about--or just for long-term projects that I don't want a bigger wheel for.I'm likely biased as this smaller size is the one I learned on, but the bigger discs (while perfectly well made and fine) just don't fit as well in my hands.

I love the smaller disk, it is easier to tote and do small quick projects with so I can save my original full sized disk for big, involved braids. I liked it so much after a few days of using it that I ordered another, just in case! The smaller size does crowd my 1-7/8" plastic bobbins a little, and I'd imagine it may be difficult if I were using the larger size bobbins, but so far it is more a minor inconvenience than a problem. So far, so good!
