Exactly as described!
A lovely piece of wood, light and strong. You need to shape the head to fit, which I did and am well pleased with it. Should last for years. I treated the haft with linseed oil to help preserve it and it looks great!

Fitted my adze like a glove
I purchased this handle quite sometime ago, having had the adze hanging up in my workshop for many years, since then I don,t know how I would have managed without it with the amount of work that I have completed with it. This tool is a must for digging old roots out and turning over the soil, effortless done in record time.Yes it has to be treated with linseed oil, like most handles.

I had an old Adze I inherited through my family that I found to be my favorite backyard tool for digging. When the handle broke, I believed I would not be able to replace it. I bought this handle not knowing what to expect. The handle was the perfect solution for me. With a little sanding, it fit perfectly. There were no problems encountered with the shipping. In fact I received the handle prior to the estimated date.
