Absolutely HOOKED
The salon my hair stylist works for uses strictly Amika products. I had never seen the brand before switching to my new stylist, but I’m so so glad I’ve discovered it. I had been cycling thru a few different shampoo/conditioners due to scalp psoriasis & oily hair, but couldn’t really find one that tackled all of my problems. That is, until I started using Amika!Pros:- a little goes a long way (I shampoo twice and I def use less product w/ Amika compared to other brands)- it hydrates my hair without making it heavy- I’m able to go more days between washes as my scalp doesn’t get as oily as quickly- no more flakes!!- no itchiness or redness- smells AMAZING- makes my hair super shiny and soft- the ingredients are clean compared to other brandsCons:- price (worth it in my opinion, but if it’s a little too much for you, Amika has a sister brand called Eva NYC that’s available in target)- the large bottles are a bit hard to work with due to it not coming with a pump nor a squirt top. I personally refill some plain pump bottles I got off Amazon, but it can definitely get messy.Overall an 11/10

Great product but came with no pump! Super frustrating
The shampoo and conditioner are great but $100 in product and they can’t even come with a friggin pump! That’s ridiculous 😡

MEN - Use to style yin public instead of gross paste/wax/etc…
An ex of mine is a hair stylist & started bringing me this brand’s shampoo & conditioner home after we noticed some dandruff (she scoffed when I suggested I try the other kind {H&S}, which is what I had used before her off/on for the trailing 10 years). To my astonishment, it fixed the problem by the 2nd or 3rd day - and then some! My seemingly helpless hair (entire life) began to change into something magnificent, hard to describe in words & I’m camera shy so this review is the best I can offer for now.She always made it sound like it (Amika) was a “super exclusive” brand where she picked up from “industry specific” stores which required licenses or permits of some kind (to be in the hair industry). Suffice to say, I gave myself a yuge high-five a few months after we broke up & I tried searching it on Amazon. If you’re my ex & you’re reading this - BWAHAHAHA!I’m approaching my 7th year of using this brand and have no reason to leave them. Price is more than fair IMHO, variety is satisfactory & whatever they’re using for their secret sauce, it’s working wonders! (Ok, if this review reaches 1k upvotes, I’ll upload some before/after photo’s - they’re pretty shocking). If you made it this far, you deserve to also know - I used to put gel, paste, wax &/or hair spray (not at the same time but in rotations*) in order to style/control my hair while going out in public. It’s gross. It’s gross when you sweat & even when you rinse it off at the end of the day…BUT THIS STUFF…I legit have been using this (& a few other different Amika branded conditioners, on rotation) for almost 5 years straight now (shampoo for ~7 years). My favorite part about this is that it’s much less… gross when cleaning out & even better than that - I’m literally “conditioning” my hair ALL DAY. That’s the byproduct of using this stuff as a hair styling product, how awesome is that!?

No Pump
Love this product but the major downfall is that this giant bottle does not come with a pump. I tried to remedy this by ordering one, and when it came in it didn’t fit so I gave up on that idea.
