This little thing is simply awesome. I used it during travel in Europe for a portable clothes steamer and it made my life so much easier. There is a little slider to switch between adapter and converter. I can only assume that people who leave bad reviews either were not aware of this, or used it wrong.When in Europe (220V) and wanting to use 110/120V electronics, you need to set it to converter.When in Europe and using your computer or shaver or any other electronic item that allows flexible input (110-220V), you can simply use the adapter function. I actually assume in that case you could use either, adapter or converter, but I have only used it as adapter in that case...In any way, the device is super solidly built and comes with a little black sleeve/case.Great quality and I was really impressed. The only way this thing could be made better is if it had a USB outlet built in as well.Buy!

I bought this to travel to South America. Although it says specifically it will work with Flat irons, the first time I plugged it in, the flat iron handle became super hot. I was able to use the flat iron at a low level only but it buzzed the entire time. Then the second time I used it, it completely blew up my flat iron and stopped working all together. Meanwhile, the one my sister has which was a different brand worked just fine for her flat iron. Don't waste your money. Get something better.

This converter/adapter worked perfect in Europe. I wanted to be able to charge my phone AND use my hairdryer. Be careful when you’re selecting, many out there you’re not able to use as both an adapter and converter. There’s clear instructions on the box to tell you whether to use one or the other. I’m my case I need one for my iPhone charging and another for my hairdryer. It comes in a nice travel case too.

Worked great but bulky and can be hard to store/pack. Outlet plugs had issues locking at times so when you tried to push into outlet the prongs would push back into the box.

What I did like about was that is good for traveling, what I dislike about it is the converter didn’t work for me, when I was traveling and need to charge my laptop or phone I notice that my laptop and phone would get hot and so would the outlet plug into the converter.

I purchased this converter for a trip to Europe and I am very happy. It's small and it works. I only had one electric device that was not dual voltage, but it was important and this converter allowed me (and my device) to be fully functional. Many converters are heavy and bulky. This one is compact and stores easily. Also includes multiple adapters for a variety of outlet styles.

Bought 2 of these because I was going to Germany. On "universal" voltage items works great because it is only adapting the plug type, not the voltage. Tried using it on the converter setting for an ink jet printer and all of the smoke escaped from the electric components and it will no longer work. Did a check with a volt meter and one way it reads around 58 volts, the other way it reads over 200 vots.??? This is supposed to be AC. Was same readings on both units. One I did get to read 110 for a while by flipping from converter to adapter and back to converter but that only lasted for anout 20 mins then the smoke escaped from another device and it was back to reading the wierd voltages. Was taking one apart to look at components and noticed on the side it states "WARNING Converter Mode for hair dryer use only can not used with low-wattage appliances (0-25w)...." Now see that product info states "Converter Mode: for 26-2000watts ELECTRIC PRODUCT used only. Convert foreign electricity from 220-240V to 110-120V.Electric Power Converter CANNOT BE USED with the ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES.Is your appliance electric or electronic?". I had to look up electric vs electronic. Kudos to those of you that don't. I did tear one of the units apart. They are not designed to come apart unless you desoilder parts of it first. I was surprised at how well built it was. So if you have anything that is basically more than an on/off switch attached to a heating element and a small fan and only runs on 110v, stay away.

bad converter ever i see! It's not working! and has damage my Coffee machine! Blame!__ Update __I got support from seller and will got refund soon. Before you but just check description seller tell me that it is for electric controlled not fro electronic controlled.!YOu can just speak with seller and understand you need it and will it work for you or not!!Thanks seller!!!
