I am so disappointed. It installed easily, just a bit of wiring. I have had it for a month and a few days, my return cutoff was September 13th. Well, today is the 15th, and the thing has gotten so noisy I don't dare use it at night for fear of waking the family. And it functions jerkily now, not smoothly as it did prior to yesterday.I lubricated the joints in the chair, being careful not to get any on the unit itself. It has made no difference. I know it was only fifty bucks, but that's a lot for a retired teacher. I really need my lift chair, and just can't use it as is.I would like a credit for the unit, please. I will immediately put it toward another actuator that will fit my chair.Thanks.

It worked exactly twice, extending out and in. Then it quit. I had to take the motor apart and free up the brushes, which were oddly shaped. They were sticking and not making good contact with the armature. They are wedge shaped and as such have a very small contact pattern to flow the magical little electrons through, and were wedged in the plastic brush holders. Your average person would have given up and returned. I fixed. It seems to be smooth enough and has lots of power, albeit slowly moving. End of story.

Worked great and good design all around, used it to make a yard dump trailer that hooks up to my riding lawn mower.
