They charge £20 for a pen that feels like its worth £2
Not worth the money, when you stop drawing for 2 seconds it's inconsistent on whether the next stroke will produce ink or not, even if it happens once every 60 strokes it's often enough to loose confidence over every stroke. The only way to mitigate it is to hold the pen at exactly 90 degrees to the page at all times which is an awful way to hold a pen. The pen itself feels like its made of cheap plastic, the lid barely fits on the back of the pen. It can't handle any amount of speed when drawing lines and the drawing feel is scratchy and unpleasant.I would be able to adjust to all the minor gripes if it actually made lines every time I put the pen to paper but it cant manage this basic function. Just save yourself time and money and buy a pack of fineliners.

Would not buy again
I had Rotring pens many years ago and loved them, but the quality seems to have gone downhill - this clogs and stutters, and it's very hard to use.

what to do?
i cant get the ink to come out??
User
Cheap
The pen is really cheaply made and broke within a few weeks of light use. I had thought I was buying a quality pen that would last and could be refilled several times. Fair to say I am really disappointed.

Great Line Work Tool
I have read a few of the negative reviews on here and feel that many people do not understand what these pens are intended for, I am an architect who has been using Isographs for 15 years and will continue to do so. Mine are used for working drawings, general line work and commenting on design files.- These pens are fragile and need maintenance to be kept in good working order. If your pen is blocked, clean it.- The barrel will crack if you are over tightening them. They always have been like this, no change in my experience from the German to Indian manufactured products in this regard.- Isographs are designed to be used at 90 degrees to the paper/medium. If this is alien to you, change your pen to a felt tip, don’t expect the tool to adapt to you. If you have broken the tip of the pen it is due to improper use.- The feel of the pen while drawing is not “smooth” it is not designed to be so do not expect a gold nib fountain pen writing experience. They are designed to provide a consistent crisp line, feedback from the media below will be picked up, especially with the thinner line weights.- They can leak, most probably they will leak in all honesty but sometimes you will find one that doesn’t – cherish it and do not hand it out!If these writing tools are used as they are supposed to for the intended purpose (line work) they will last a life time, I made a purchase of a second 0.4 to have two inked up in different colours at once, not because of any need to replace. In my experience these are the best technical drawing pens available, highly recommended.

Rotring calidad garantizada

If youve used technical pens/isographs before, you know what to expect… finicky wonderful, pens provided you take care of them… much better than any disposable alternatives.
