JQuad(Pair - Red & Black) 12 Terminal Distribution Block -BUSBARS- with Ring Terminals

We try to buy from the Ma and Pa places on here. Being disabled . We need to be price conscious. At "The Mother In Laws Place" It is an off-grid cabin, we run DC on a lot of things . We see no need to use the inverter 24/7. just so you can turn on a light when you come home . We use LED bulbs in ceiling mount fixtures that are marked 12-volt DC only. These are controlled by controller with a FOB remote. The controller is board mounted on our PV control center . We use a few of the controllers for different rooms to control each ceiling light . We also run the kitchen stove exhaust fan with DC . The fresh air intake system for combustion is DC . These are fused in our DC only fuse center . This fuse center is controlled by a service disconnect at the DC master box . We also run two AC fuse boxes on our PV board . One protects various AC 110 volt circuits in the cabin , garage and sauna . The other protects 220 volt circuits from the aux gen set and to the split ac/heat pump and the aux battery charger for when the PV and hopefully soon to be wind generated power are not enough to keep up. We run 8 - 6volt Rolls batteries tied by Buss bars . They are temperature and voltage monitored on the PV board and by the inverter unit. The power is inverted by a Renogy 3000 . It also has a multi stage charger built it with flow through capability . These are almost all protected by Breakers purchased here . We have a remote shallow well system that we use a soft start unit on . It lessens the instant draw on the system . It is all about power management. This is a semi detailed , general description of some of the off grid power systems we use . I am going to add this review to each one of the parts bought on here .

I have purchased power distribution bars in the past but they were little dinky things meant for dinky little projects. I'm wiring a tinyhouse with 12 and 120 volt power. I'm robbing plugs and re-purposing cords and using all the oddball junk I collected over the years. I need something durable and flexible as I run lines and change my mind and do it over until I'm happy. So this kit is more like heavy machine grade. Could be used as a hammer or a weapon in a pinch. Having a handful of connectors in the deal is just convenient. Let's face it, you have connectors, I have connectors but do you have the stupid things around when you need them? So grab yourself a pair of crimpers and some wire and go nuts!

I used these to help wire in relays for headlights and horns in my 1989 Merkur Scorpio. The bars had plenty of connections for my needs. The included ring crimp on ring terminals worked better than some others I have used. The cover doesn't really fit securely on the bar by itself. Instead, the large connection helps to hold it in place.

These were easy to use. There were perfect for a chandelier I was making (with the help of my trusty assisant). They did come with a set of ring terminals but I advise getting some of your own OR use some shrink tubing. Every single terminal that I crimped had the cover slide off right after crimping. I finally started pulling the cover off each one then using shrink tubing. They come with three sizes of terminals for feeding to the outlet so that's really nice. I'm quite pleased with it. I had 7 wires going into the terminals and I had them close together but was able to get everything wired in fine. I highly recommend these.

Good Product, Does what it is intended to but the cover does not secure very well. I wound up gluing the ends of mine just to hold it closed.

These were just what I needed to complete my project!

Good for the price. Really only need one side but got both now I have an extra for the next boat build.

This product was the perfect solution for my classic truck however..... When I was finished with the wiring, I was not happy with the design of the covers and the insulating boot intended to dress up the main ground and power lead. These pieces seem to be an after thought and the design not completely thought through. I hate to use glue to attach the covers because it does not look finished. There should have been a snap feature incorporated into the design that would allow for a proper capture of the cover. If you look inside the covers, you will find a perfectly smooth finish with no provisions for a snap or other means to keep the covers in place. booo
