Awesome for vocals and overdubbing
I got these at an amazing lightening deal. The instrument mic 991 isn't as good but the 990 is amazing for vocals. I've recorded voice overs with this mic and they sound amazing. Almost as good as Audio Technica AT2020 but at a very reasonable price.Pros1. Comes with carrying case (can't stress this enough because when you have to carry it to location and you have a choice between AT2020 and these, you'll pick these because they come with their own case.2. Amazing sound quality at less price (compared to AT2020)3. MXL also sells good shock mounts at reasonable price.Cons:1. The color is not something that I like. But we don't care about how the mic looks...it's performance is what matters2. Quite heavy (it tips the microphone stand at a smaller arm length because of it's weight.

Great little mic
This works well. My only issue is how wide it is and it's tricky finding the right shock mount for my boom mic holder.

Le second micro 991 ne fonctionne pas
Le premier micro 990 (voixà fonctionne très bien, super son comparé au micro newer acheté auparavant. Mais le second micro 991 (instrument) ne fonctionne pas.
