USB 3.1 5Gbps Type C Card Reader

It is durable and I use it to read multiple SD and Micro SD cards. The transfer speeds to my MacBook and from it to the SD cards are quick. Don’t expect to get 5Gbps with every card you use, the better the card the better the transfer speed and your laptop/computer. But it does the job more than well. If you have a MacBook without the SD card slot and work with a lot of content creation, then this is a must have.

 This card reader is well made plastic. Lightweight and simple. Connects to USB type C devices. Worked on my One Plus and Macbook.  I have connected in one plus 6 and light wasn’t blinking, I thought it was defective product but then I after i went to setting and on my OTG function from settings and light has started blinking. Then I have tried and it works fine.  So all users please note before you use the card reader you need to on the OTG functions from the Settings.  Also I have tried in Mac 2017 And it works fine. As soon as I had pluged in its started working.

I bought this card reader recently from Amazon. I could find several similar items on Amazon with Different branding and almost at same price point and I was confused which one to get out of these. After reading the reviews and pictures posted by the customers I decided to go with this particular product. The Card reader serves its purpose, I have bought this card reader to access my SanDisk 128GB SDXC Memory card from my Canon camera. It works flawlessly on my 2020 mac having only Type-C ports. So you need not worry whether it will be supporting with your Mac's having Type-C ports (I was worried whether it will support my Mac). Its compact and light weight, easy to carry. I always keep it in my Camera Bag along with my memory cards. I don't find any delay in transfer speed as my Memory cards are class 10 and has a transfer speed of 170 MBPS. The only flaw that I found if I am net picking is that build quality its flimsy plastic material. If you are carrying it with bigger backpacks and with heavy lenses, there are chances that the Card Reader might break if you use it carelessly. You can go ahead and purchase it for your Normal day to day life usage considering the cheap pricing and value for money perspective

Max speed :70MBps. Doesn't work as advertised, 5Gbps or 540MBps. Heats up. Tested with macbook pro 16" late 2019 and Blackmagic disk speed test with an 170MB/s SanDisk pro 64GB card. Good for occassional use and travel.

Good product. Does what it says, pretty much plug and play. Device does heat up a bit upon using it for a long time. Also, would've been amazing if both ports (Micro SD and SD Card ports) could be used simultaneously.
